A right-arm fast-medium bowler with an ability to cut the ball off the pitch both ways, Jack O'Connor made his debut against England at Adelaide in 1907-08, taking 8 for 150 in the match. He followed with another four wickets in the fourth Test, but went wicketless in the final match at Sydney. He toured England in 1909, playing only the first Test at Birmingham where he took one wicket. One the tour as a whole he took 77 wickets at 16.01.
