0.5 to Nasir Jamshed, Steyn strikes in the first over as Nasir plays all around this fuller length ball which comes in. Finds his off stump peg knocked back as Steyn roars with approval. Didn't take long did that?. 2/1
6.5 to Mohammad Hafeez, Hafeez is in two minds as he looks to play this short ball which is banged in, but instead gets the outside edge on the way to the keeper. That is his 15th dismissal to Steyn in 20 matches.. 22/2
39.5 to Shahid Afridi, wide outside off and Afridi, looking to guide this past the slips, instead guides it to the slip, with Steyn over the moon. Only reason this could be construed a big wicket is if he let loose in the end overs, which he is capable off. But South Africa have remedied that prospect quite well. 214/6
42.6 to Bilawal Bhatti, but it is Steyn who has the last laugh as Bhatti, looking to mow one down the ground, instead gets a thick outside edge which carries behind to the keeper. Muted celebrations from South Africa though as they need to keep a check on the scoring, which has gotten out of their hands in the recent overs. 241/7
44.3 to Anwar Ali, another huge play and miss by Anwar, but they are able to run the bye. Steyn complains about Anwar running on the pitch, but on second glance it may just be that he was appealing for obstruction of the field, as de Kock's throw was blocked when Anwar had changed direction, with the ball hitting his left shoulder. Anwar must have seen it out of his peripheral vision as he changes direction slightly to get in the way. The umpire has deemed it to be out. Been a while since I saw a dismissal in this manner. 261/8
44.4 to Umar Akmal, and just as I finish typing that last explanation, Steyn has got Umar Akmal to edge a full delivery outside off to the keeper. Third umpire has been called on to deliberate, and the final decision is that it is out. There was definitely a sound as it hit the face of the bat. That is five wickets for Steyn as well, but as usual, he has got a grumpy look on his face.. 261/9
44.6 to Saeed Ajmal, and Steyn finishes the innings with six wickets as Ajmal, looking to hit this to the leg side, instead gets a top-edge which flies directly behind to third man, who completes the take. 262/10
904705.22303040
907117.88186250
28.1 to Sohaib Maqsood, and the bowling change proves inspired as Maqsood looks to stand and deliver with a tonk down the ground to this full delivery, but instead spoons it over extra-cover, with Hashim Amla taking a safe catch. Silly shot when you consider both these batsmen had put on 124, and were looking good for many more. 146/3
804906.12224100
803314.12232000
33.5 to Misbah-ul-Haq, Tahir strikes as Misbah, looking to glance a length delivery going down the leg side, ends up getting a soft edge on it, with de Kock doing well to move and get into position just behind to capture the rebound off the bat. Keeper and bowler are convinced they have got their man, and the umpire confirms it soon after. Scenes of joy and jubilation from the South Africans. This is a massive wicket as Misbah has been remarkably consistent this year.. 176/4

4.3 to GC Smith, and that is that. The first shot which Smith attempts to play to the off side, and he gets an edge as it carries through to Umar Akmal. First wicket down and Pakistan look to be on top in these opening exchanges. 9/1
38.4 to AB de Villiers, and de Villiers perishes in the only way it seemed possible as he goes for another fancy, one-knee-on-the-ground, paddle flick, that is hit much higher than it goes farther. Gets this one too square though as Afridi, at deep square leg, is able to hold on to the chance. The crowd is subdued as the South African captain walks back to the pavilion with a brilliant 45-ball 74. 227/4
44.2 to JP Duminy, JP is gone! looking to seal this match sooner than later as he looks to pull one through midwicket, and hits it sweet enough for Anwar Ali, stationed at deep midwicket, to run forward and take the catch. Can South Africa do it? 8 needed off 4. This game is not over just yet. 255/6
713905.57205000
804615.75193110
43.6 to HM Amla, Amla looking to get to his milestone with a six over square leg, instead hits it directly up, with Mohammad Hafeez taking a difficult one to end what has been a top innings from the opener. Threatened to carry his bat through the innings, and his 98 has gone a long way in setting this up for South Africa. 254/5

21.4 to Q de Kock, and Afridi gets his man! De Kock comes down the wicket to clip this length ball over midwicket, but instead hits it directly to silly mid-on. Huge smiles across Misbah and Afridi's faces. Big wicket there as it was against the run of play and they were threatening to take this game away from Pakistan entirely. Fine knock from de Kock nonetheless. 96/2
25.4 to JH Kallis, Kallis, looking to sweep, instead gets a top edge which goes straight up. There are four fielders around it, but Ajmal calls it, and Ajmal takes it. Kallis gone for 6, and South Africa now 117 for 3. 117/3
