To a later generation, Keki Tarapore was familiar as a well known administrator, active in the corridors of the BCCI. He managed the Indian teams to England in 1967 and to the West Indies in 1971, when India won a series against that country for the first time. But in his playing days he was a competent slow left-arm bowler. He did not meet with success in his only Test against West Indies at New Delhi in 1948-49. But in a first-class career that lasted just over a decade he picked up 148 wickets (28.77).
