10.6 to AN Cook, got him! Zaheer pings Cook's pad with one that didn't swing as much as he thought it would. Cook was right back on his stumps, looking to defend towards mid-on, but the ball zipped through his defences and would have taken out the top of middle and leg. First blood to India!. 19/1
24.4 to AJ Strauss, Strauss is gone, and after all that caution in the first session, Strauss perishes to the pull, Zaheer gets Strauss, start the over-analysis, it was short and outside off, Strauss gets a top-edge and it hangs in the air for ages, Ishant at fine leg doesn't have to move to pouch that, England 62/2. 62/2
40.31010652.6119315000
61.2 to IJL Trott, Kumar has done it! This one did swing, back into Trott this time. Kept a touch lower and Trott missed it as he tried to work to leg. Big appeal and after some thought Bowden has the finger up. Crucial breakthrough!. 160/3
92.1 to IR Bell, stop the press. India have held a catch behind the stumps. It's a beauty from Praveen, no pace just super precise and skillful seam work. Short of a length on off stump, Bell chose to stay back and play from the crease, but this wafted away nicely off the seam and took the outside edge. The ball was dying on Dhoni even as he dived low to his right, but this time he holds on.. 270/4
92.4 to EJG Morgan, Two in the over, Praveen has turned this match around within the space of four balls. This is tentative batting as much as outstanding bowling. This one did not do much off the pitch, as much as threaten to move this way or that. Angles in from slightly wide of the crease, Morgan is neither forward nor back as he looks to defend and gets an inside edge that goes between bat-pad gap through to Dhoni. Oh wait, Hot Spot doesn't pick the edge, but Morgan did not even think of referring it. Caramba! Morgan did not seem to get a nick on that. Hot Spot says it hit the pad. Did he think he was given LBW? Remember, UDRS can't be used for LBWs in this series.. 270/5
120.3 to MJ Prior, Praveen gets another! He sent down an outswinger, perhaps just short of a good length, and Prior set himself for a slashing cut. The ball bounced and moved more than he expected, however, and a thick edge flew straight through to Dhoni. India really, really needed that.. 390/6
120.4 to SCJ Broad, Broad's gone! First ball! Praveen gets his fifth with some hooping swing into the left-hander's pads. Ball evaded bat and the umpire upheld the appeal.. 390/7

129.4 to GP Swann, well that's a surprise! Raina pushes through a flat ball, Swann plays across it and off-stump pegged back. 451/8

91.5 to Z Khan, bowled 'em! Anderson with one of his magic deliveries, pitching middle on a length, straightening and hitting off, Zaheer could have nothing about it, Anderson manages a smile. 284/9
95.5 to I Sharma, finally Anderson gets his man, in his way alright, away movement produces an outside edge that Prior gobbles up. 286/10
2458033.3311290010
55.5 to VVS Laxman, absolute bonus for England! Laxman has gifted his wicket. Nothing delivery from Tremlett but Laxman flicked it off his hip in the air, straight to deep backwards square. Strange dismissal but Strauss especially will be delighted. 182/4
83.4 to MS Dhoni, caught at slip! That's what the new ball was meant to do! Tremlett gets his length right again, finds the outside edge as Dhoni defended tentatively from the crease, Swann tumbled smartly to his left to pouch it safely. 240/6
83.5 to Harbhajan Singh, Harbhajan goes now! Poor shot really. Back of a length outside off stump, Harbhajan flirted at it with his feet rooted to the crease and only managed to feather an edge. 241/7
2283741.681143012
18.2 to G Gambhir, clatter! Full, straight and swinging. Broad makes a mess of Gambhir's stumps with a superb delivery that swerved back in between bat and pad. He's got the reward for keeping the ball up to the bat, and isn't he happy. He even turns round to appeal!. 63/1
24.4 to A Mukund, Abhinav out for 48 in his previous Test, and out for 49 this time. The milestone was clearly playing on his mind, that can happen to you. Especially at Lord's. Broad keeps it full and wide of off, he should not have played at that. Abhinav reaches across with a gaping bat-pad gap and an angled face. The ball hits the inside edge and crashes into the stumps. Abhinav is crushed with disappointment, as he should be.. 77/2
43.4 to SR Tendulkar, there's anguish at Lord's, even for the most ardent England fans, and they then begin to do their polite clapping routine. Sachin is out in the 30s again, at the home of cricket. Broad does it yet again with a fuller ball, one wonders why he even bothered with that bumper overdose. Lovely delivery, full and inviting outside off, swerving away slyly. Sachin walks into the trap, literally, driving away from the body and the edge flies low to the left of Swann crouching forward at second slip. Well taken. No 100th 100 yet. He made only 34, but boy, were they exquisite.. 158/3
88.6 to P Kumar, Broad ends the fun! Suspected he would. Sharp bouncer hurries on to Kumar who gets in no position to hook and top-edges high over his head where Strauss runs back to take the catch. 276/8
611202.00281000
1935012.63877000
56.2 to SK Raina, can't review that! Swann loves a left-hander! Raina gets deep into his crease and misses an attempted work-to-leg, it just slipped on to him quicker than expected and struck him in front. Replays show it clipping leg stump, India in real bother now. 183/5

10.6 to AN Cook, edged, gone! Great ball from Kumar, not much movement but the perfect line on off stump. Cook's got to play, but the ball just leaves him a touch and kisses the edge on the way through to Dhoni. The batsman starts to walk off even before Asad Rauf's finger goes up. Suddenly, the morning has come to life after a very low-key start!. 23/1
2265942.68974010
23.1 to KP Pietersen, he won't bat at all in fact, that is the end of him, Ishant has got him with a snorter, bangs it in back of a length, takes off surprisingly, KP with that walk down the track is in no position to leave it alone as it shoots up, could have let it go had he remained in the crease, gets a feather on it through to Dhoni, Ishant is delighted. 55/3
23.6 to IR Bell, that's another one, what is happening, this is a roar alright from Ishant, superb delivery, taking off from a length, coming in with Ishant's angle, got to play at those, healthy edge that Dhoni gobbles up with lots of delight, Bell hangs around as they check for a no ball, nope, Ishant is alright, Bell has to go back, the momentum has shifted. 55/4
27.4 to IJL Trott, he's bowled 'em! this match continues to turn, that is a huge wicket, off a lovely delivery too, really Trott couldn't have done much with that one, that fuller length again from Ishant close to off, Trott was late in coming forward for the drive, the ball sneaked in between bat and pad to shatter the top of off, that's where you are supposed to hit 'em and that is where Ishant has hit this time. 62/5
43.2 to EJG Morgan, Sharma has struck! Surely!? Shortish ball that reared up at Morgan, who was very, very late on a pull shot and it looped up to midwicket who dived forward and scooped the catch. Morgan is standing his ground asking if it carried and the umpires go upstairs. This often can go the batsman's way... but rightly he's out! Replays confirm it and Sharma works the magic again. 107/6
2116613.14824000
22.3 to AJ Strauss, Bhajji has a wicket, he has got Strauss who has wasted yet another start, going for the sweep out of nowhere, the ball went on with the angle to strike him in front and umpire Rauf sends him back, not much of a reaction from Harbhajan, relief? emotion? can't discern anything from that expression. 54/2

34.1 to R Dravid, caught behind! The ball pitched on a good length outside off and seamed away from the right-hander. Laxman has been leaving these deliveries consistently from Anderson but Dravid poked at it off the back foot and nicked it to Prior who took a regulation chance. Lord's breaks into cheers and applause and Anderson is stoked. First blood to England just after 30 minutes of play. Dravid was rather upset with himself after that dismissal, he knows he should have left that one alone.. 94/2
48.1 to VVS Laxman, gone! Laxman pulls straight into the hands of midwicket. The ball was short, but not quite the bouncer, and he tapped it away with a short-arm jab. Bell leaps at short midwicket, and clutches onto the catch. 131/3
66.6 to SR Tendulkar, gone this time! Anderson gets his man and there will be no Lord's fairytale for Tendulkar. He departs to a standing ovation that will be his last Test innings at Lord's. Nipped back from a length and past the inside edge flush onto the pads in front. What an incredible response from Anderson to the disappointment. Heartbreak for India. 165/5
91.5 to Harbhajan Singh, and that's that from Harbhajan. Forgettable Test, and no redemption. Didn't help his cause with the shot he just played either. Short ball from Anderson, Harbhajan again plays that mosquito-swat hooky-pull of his and balloons the edge high and down to wide mid-on where Tremlett holds it easy. England are taking this away now.. 243/7
95.4 to SK Raina, gone this time! Raina falls and India are all but gone. Great bowling from Anderson and he's on the honours board now. England celebrate wildly. Good defiance from Raina but in the end an away swinger had him forward and it flicked the edge leaving Prior to do the rest. 260/9
2144412.091086006
85.2 to MS Dhoni, Dhoni is gone, pretty poor shot and he walks. Rauf was giving it out anyway. Big, big wicket and England are into the tail with a newish ball in their hands. Short of a length ball, not much pace, no movement, and it was there to be left. Dhoni hops across and feathers it needlessly to Prior. Easy, loopy catch, though it was dying on him. Dhoni is not going to repeat his 2007 Lord's heroics this time. He's in fact had a rather forgettable Test.. 225/6
20.345732.78978000
8.3 to A Mukund, bowled 'im! Broad breaks through for England, the ball taking the inside edge of Mukund's bat and cannoning into the stumps. He had poked at a full delivery from the crease, flat-footed, and some swing through the air took the ball towards the inside half of the bat. 19/1
94.6 to P Kumar, Broad strikes! England nearly there now! Praveen rooted to the crease and a full ball nipped back a long way, through the gate and onto the middle of middle. 256/8
96.3 to I Sharma, that is it! Broad is the man that finishes it and fittingly, it's a full straight ball that earns him, and England, the Test. The home side have been incredible today, bowled and fielded with crackling intensity and on a flat deck just kept hammering their way through what's often described as the best batting line-up in the world. Bowden gets the chance to give the final decision, much as he likes it you suspect, as the delivery kept a bit low and struck Ishant bang in front.. 261/10
2236412.90977000
49.2 to G Gambhir, there's an appeal ... and another ... and he's given! Swann gets Gambhir lbw with one that slid on with the arm from around the wicket. Ball definitely hit both pad and bat, but which one first? Yes, pad first, it hit him in line and would've disturbed the stumps. Brilliant decsion from Asad Rauf. 135/4
