Fall of wickets: 1-134 (Gautam Gambhir, 29.5 ov), 2-224 (Virender Sehwag, 50.1 ov), 3-250 (Sachin Tendulkar, 56.5 ov), 4-283 (Virat Kohli, 76.4 ov), 5-413 (Yuvraj Singh, 124.1 ov), 6-444 (MS Dhoni, 134.5 ov), 7-510 (Ravichandran Ashwin, 154.5 ov), 8-519 (Zaheer Khan, 157.1 ov)

157.1 to Z Khan, full, swings like a kid at the playground, and caught by the diving Trott at point! The ball flew low off the outside half of the bat as Zaheer tried to give it the hurry up and this time the fielder clung on. That's the first wicket by a fast bowler in the match. 519/8

29.5 to G Gambhir, gone! Swann makes the breakthrough. Another really smart piece of bowling as this one slides into Gambhir as he again goes back into the crease to try and play through the off side but this time is beaten as it skids through at takes off stump. Massive relief all round, at least for a moment, for England.. 134/1
50.1 to V Sehwag, bowled him, Sehwag is gone! The giant has been chopped down and Swann has his second wicket, striking with the first ball of a spell again. The ball was tossed up outside off, there was a bit of grip off the pitch and Sehwag's attempted sweep was unsuccessful, the timbers rattling to give the batsman his send off. 224/2
56.5 to SR Tendulkar, in a tangle this time and Tendulkar is gone! Swann has another, minutes before tea! Tendulkar didn't quite read the flight, wasn't to the pitch as he went for another loft into the leg side, got right under the ball and it plopped safely into Patel's hands at deep midwicket. 250/3
76.4 to V Kohli, bowled him, Swann has another! More spin for England's chief tweaker, this ripped back from outside off, big gap between bat and pad and the "pop" go the bails! Kohli didn't get a big enough stride in, he looks at the pitch suspiciously, but that wasn't a great defensive stroke. 283/4
134.5 to MS Dhoni, five for Swann! Dhoni's curious innings is over as he goes for a sweep, the ball takes the bottom of his glove and maybe some thigh pad then rolls into the stumps. 444/6
3139613.091298100
124.1 to Yuvraj Singh, would you believe it?! Yuvraj has clubbed the ugliest of ugly full tosses straight down the throat of long-on. Patel looks a little embarrassed by it all, but England won't be fussed. Real shame for Yuvraj, a comeback hundred would have been a fabulous story. 413/5
812513.12281000
154.5 to R Ashwin, there it is, that bit of magic, though it's not Pujara but Ashwin that falls! Pietersen celebrates with arms aloft as Ashwin plays back, goes to cut, but thins a nick into the hands of Prior behind the stumps. 510/7

13.3 to NRD Compton, gone! There's the first one. A lovely delivery, spins from outside off and turns through the gap between bat and pad into middle stump. Compton didn't quite cover for the spin, but it was a marvelous delivery. The first of many like that, you suspect. 26/1
15.3 to IJL Trott, and another! Turning into a late-day procession here. Nicely flighted, turns just enough to take the inside edge into the pad and another catch to short leg. 30/3
39.4 to AN Cook, Gone. Bring on the follow-on. Nicely bowled too. Tossed up on off, much slower than usual, makes his drive, and for a change Cook is not right to the pitch of the ball. The offbreak produces the edge, and Sehwag pouches a sharp low catch. Cook fought hard, concentrated intensely, but is gone now. 80/6
1572311.53762000
73.5 to SCJ Broad, this time Zaheer gets the decision, Broad trapped in front! He's been working both batsmen over, nagging away, and this ball again jagged back off a length - might have done too much to be honest - but Broad was static on the crease and it was good enough for Aleem Dar. 187/9
22.284552.011105000
14.4 to JM Anderson, this one is out! Anderson propping forward again, the inside edge loops straighter this time, short leg dives to his right and takes a very good catch. 29/2
32.3 to KP Pietersen, Ojha has broken through. Huge wicket. Pietersen falls to slow left-arm again. KP is not forward enough. He had only just started moving forward positively. Now that last appeal has caused doubts. Stays on the crease. The ball is not full enough, pitches middle, holds its line, beats the outside edge, takes middle. It's the ones that haven't turned that have done Pietersen in. 69/4
32.4 to IR Bell, and out goes Ian Bell. Did he spend the last 50 minutes thinking he is going to dance down the wicket first ball and go over mid-off? Sure felt like that. First ball, turning wicket, he wants to beat the sinners off their rhythm. Doesn't quite get to the pitch of it, the ball doesn't bounce as high as he expects, and it goes off the bottom part for easy catch to mid-off. Imploding, are England. 69/5
66.4 to TT Bresnan, gone! There's the breakthrough. Nice bowling from Ojha. Tossed up on off stump and it's a touch of extra bounce that causes the problem as it takes the shoulder of the bat and offers a simple catch to gully. 144/8
74.2 to MJ Prior, tossed up, spins, Prior drives expansively and "thwock" goes the off stump, Ojha completing his five-for into the bargain. So no consolation fifty and that's a wrap, folks. 191/10

47.6 to SR Patel, Yadav strikes in his first over. First lbw off the match, and it is headed well down leg. The absence of DRS seems to have disoriented the umpires. Length ball, angling in, hits him in front of leg, easy not out, but Aleem Dar has given him. Three plumb lbw not given, and one easy not-out goes the other way. 97/7

76.5 to IR Bell, got him, Yadav has made the breakthrough! The ball reversed back at Bell at pace, caught him on the crease and cannoned into the front pad as the bat swung down at an angle, Tony Hill didn't think too long about it and, although it had come back quite a distance, it would probably have shaved leg. 199/4
76.6 to SR Patel, he's gone, first baller, a terrific yorker and Samit had no chance! He'd barely got his head in gear, let alone his feet, but Yadav made him dance all right, trapped right in front of leg stump, the ball searing into pad and England are rocking, just hanging on now. 199/5
144.3 to SCJ Broad, Broad is gone. Yadav strikes too. Another return catch. Another ball that has stopped on the batsman. Short of a length, Broad is right behind the line, the only mistake perhaps is that the bat face is a little closed. The ball doesn't quite come on, and lobs back off the leading half of the bat. England 48 for 8. Surely they will hit out now?. 378/8
551612042.1826414100
57.1 to IJL Trott, and Ojha strikes first ball with a change of ends. Nicely bowled. On off, short of driving length, Trott is not to the pitch of it, and the ball turns and bounces away, taking the shoulder of the bat. Good catch from Dhoni. 156/2
59.1 to KP Pietersen, Ojha has bowled KP again. SLA again. It's all in the mind. Ridiculous dismissal. Pietersen walks too far across to sweep a full ball. Premeditated shot. This would have been a full toss had he stood straight and played the ball and not the demons. Has gone too far across, misses the full toss, which lands in front of leg, between the stumps and the crease, and then it breaks away to hit off. 160/3
137.4 to MJ Prior, Ojha has got the wicket. Prior misses on the hundred. India are back in. Cook stands there, looking at nothing in particular. Not the best ball he has bowled, but India will take it. Flat, shortish, Prior goes back to punch it down the ground, but it doesn't quite come on to the bat. And he spoons a simple return catch. Big big breakthrough for India. 356/6
141.3 to AN Cook, this could be the match. Ojha has done it for India. Boy is he pumped. This is a huge huge wicket. And getting through Cook's defence has not been easy. Short of a length, Cook stays on the crease. Not well forward, not right back. The ball stays low, turns past the bat, hits the pad, and then the stumps. England effectively 35 for 7 now. More than five hours to go in this match. Whatever happens from now on, it has been a superb innings from Cook. He will be gutted, though. A slightly tired shot. 365/7
43911112.5819212000
153.5 to GP Swann, one adventurous shot too many. Swann walks down the wicket, reverses his stance, and tries the switch hit. Ashwin keeps his head, fires it in full and straight, and the middle stump is flattened. England effectively 76 for 9. 406/9
10101.0050000
27.355922.141255000
44.6 to NRD Compton, Zaheer showing his mastery of the conditions. Changes the angle again after having troubled Compton from round the stumps. Gets close to the stumps, bowls on a length, more than half the ball within the stumps. And then the ball doesn't go with the angle, just sort of holds its line. Gone. Finally a correct lbw decision in this match. 123/1
154.3 to TT Bresnan, wide half-volley, Bresnan sees he can drive it, but he fails to keep it along the ground, and finds Rahane at cover. Final wicket taken, India can now smell the win. 406/10

9.5 to V Sehwag, it won't be a 10-wicket win...Sehwag comes down the pitch to try and launch this over long-on but doesn't quite get it cleanly and Pietersen takes a well-judged catch very near the boundary, then just manages to stop himself touching the rope. Was only fractions in it.. 57/1
