32.5 to JK Silva, here's the first one! The classic ploy. A bouncer followed by a fuller one. Well, it wasn't exactly full, more like on a length.. But what did Silva here was the slight away movement. He was pushing from the crease anyway, without getting forward, and gets a thick edge to the keeper. Superb stuff there by the bowler. 79/1
74.3 to HDRL Thirimanne, edged, and this time it's a straightforward catch to the keeper. It was back of a length, just outside off, and it straightened a touch. That one ball that came back in has been playing on Thirimanne's mind, perhaps, and he hung his bat out and got a tickle through to Sarfraz. This is superb bowling from Junaid. 215/5
82.2 to N Dickwella, how's that? That was full, angling in, and Dickwella's head falls over as he tries to work that leg side, and is pinged on the front pad in front of the stumps. The finger goes up, and Dickwella decides to review... Looks like it's angling down... but it's just clipping leg stump, according to Hawkeye, and that means it's the umpire's call, and that means it's out. Junaid has three now. 249/6
82.5 to MDK Perera, very full now, and it's another loud appeal as Dilruwan gets his front pad across and is struck low down looking to work around it. Not given, and Pakistan review. Whoa. It's pitched in line, Hawkeye says, and it's smashing into the inside of the leg stump. No edge either, and Dilruwan has to go. 249/7
92.5 to KTGD Prasad, this one's out, for sure, and the umpire agrees. It's full and angled in and Prasad was struck on the back pad in front of middle, stuck on the crease. He's not been coming forward to the full ball all morning, and it needed one well-directed full ball to get him in trouble. Junaid's produced it and he now has a five-for. Hawkeye says this one was also flicking the leg bail, closer to the corner of the stumps. For some reason, this looked more out than the previous one at first viewing. 284/9
2038834.408715006
47.5 to KC Sangakkara, bowled him! All those bouncers, followed by a full-length ball that snaked in extremely late to dip into the gap between bat and pad and crash into the top of off stump, after a bit of a deflection off the back thigh. Super bowling. They check for a no-ball, and he's juust about landed his heel behind the crease. 144/2
59.3 to WU Tharanga, what a catch! It was angled into the pads, and Tharanga flicked that, he middled that flick, and Azhar Ali reacts like a flash to grab that while falling to his right. Didn't have too far to move, but he had no time to get his hands in position. Ah. It lodged in his midriff, but still, had to react quickly to make sure it didn't slip out. 177/4
85.1 to AD Mathews, and that's that for Mathews. It's a short ball, and he shuffles across and looks to pull. Goes through to the keeper with some sound on the way. Not sure what it touched. He was given out and he reviewed... and yes, it certainly kissed his glove. 261/8
19.345312.71855000
99.3 to HMRKB Herath, and that is that. Herath pushes forward to defend outside off, playing for turn, and it goes pretty much straight on and takes an outside edge through to first slip. Simple catch for Younis Khan, who becomes the first Pakistan cricketer to take 100 Test catches. 320/10
3357712.331517000
54.6 to DPMD Jayawardene, HE'S GONE! Sharp turn again from outside off, but the length was the key here, and Mahela was caught on the crease as the ball rapped his front pad just in line with off stump, I think. The umpire's finger went up immediately. Hawkeye suggests it's flicking the leg bail. 167/3

8.4 to Khurram Manzoor, super delivery! Khurram was drawn forward by the flight, and it dipped and turned a long way from outside off and took his outside edge as he looked to defend. He had no need to play at that so far outside off if he was only looking to defend, but he did, and Dickwella is ecstatic after taking a smart catch to his right. 47/1
31.3 to Azhar Ali, oh man. What has he done here? That was a horrific shot. Down the track, didn't reach the pitch of the ball, and was he foxed by the arm ball? Was looking to hit down the ground, ended up pulling it much wider than he would have wanted, straight into the hands of Mathews at an unorthodox short mid-on. Rush of blood ends what was looking like a solid innings. 110/2
38.6 to Younis Khan, what a catch, but is that out? The umpire's gone to the third umpire for this. That was full, outside off, and Younis pushed forward to defend and he played that down into his boot. It went straight up off his boot and Silva dived forward from silly point, caught it one-handed, and flung it immediately to the keeper. Given! Amazing work from the silly point fielder, but the catch will go down as Dickwella's, I think. 131/4
42.1 to Misbah-ul-Haq, and Misbah's gone! Lovely delivery from Herath. Dipped on the batsman, turned away sharply, and took the outside edge through to Dickwella as Misbah poked forward to defend. 140/5
66.6 to Asad Shafiq, bowled him, through the gate, and that's five for Herath! What a delivery that was. Having spun the last two away from Shafiq, this one goes with the angle, and it finds the gap between pad and bat, which pushes out looking for turn, and crashes into the top of off stump. 233/6
78.4 to Abdur Rehman, that was beautifully bowled. Created the angle across the left-hander by going around the wicket, and slanted that across fairly flat and full. Rehman followed it and played for turn. There wasn't any, and the edge settles nicely in Mahela's hands at slip. 273/7
85.6 to Wahab Riaz, and Herath has seven! Wahab goes for the sweep, doesn't quite get over the ball, and hits it high in the air and down into Welegedara's hands at deep backward square leg. 301/8
89.4 to Sarfaraz Ahmed, lovely, lovely bowling to get his eighth. It's tossed up a bit more, and dips on Sarfraz as he pushes forward to drive through cover. Doesn't get to the pitch, and he gets an outside edge through to Dickwella, who takes it on the second attempt. End of a superb innings from Sarfraz. 315/9
93.1 to Saeed Ajmal, well, we won't. Herath gets nine, and Ajmal is bowled as he tries to give himself room for the cut. It's the slider, and the batsman swishes at thin air and the ball crashes into leg stump. 332/10
912102.33401000
1716313.70583000
34.5 to Ahmed Shehzad, down the leg side again and that's a terrific catch from Dickwella. That was a poor ball, should have been hit for four, but he only managed a little tickle with the inside edge and Dickwella ghosts to his left to intercept. Shehzad didn't even look at the umpire, just walked off as soon as it lodged in the keeper's gloves. 122/3

95.1 to N Dickwella, well bowled! It was a good length ball, moved in a touch, and it caught Dickwella on the crease, shuffling across, and hit him on the back pad in front of off and middle. Finger immediately went up, and Dickwella didn't review. 247/6
95.3 to MDK Perera, that's plumb, and Dilruwan bags a pair! Angled in again, full, and he's hit in front of middle, trying to work across the line, after planting his front pad in front of the stumps, and Hawkeye shows it's clipping leg stump, after the batsman made a late decision to review. 247/7
107.4 to HMRKB Herath, bowled him! That's the old reverse-swinging yorker, hits the base of the stumps on the full, actually, sneaks in between Herath's bat and rapidly retreating pad. They check for a no-ball, but his front foot is totally fine. 282/9
3539722.771457000
20.2 to WU Tharanga, got him! Midwicket was left open, and it was a short ball that didn't quite bounce. It turned from outside off and he bottom-edged it onto his stumps as he looked to pull it. Went very hard at it. 54/1
24.2 to JK Silva, taken! What a catch by Younis, diving low to his left. Silva jumps down the track, and doesn't quite get to the pitch. Goes for a big drive, but it spun hard and he gets a thick outside edge that goes past the right glove of Sarfraz and into Younis' hands inches above the grass. The umpires have a look at whether it was a clean take, and it definitely was. 79/2
46108931.932228100
66.2 to KC Sangakkara, got him! That's a difficult ball to play, turns and bounces from middle and leg, and he's opened up slightly as he pushes out in front of his body and gloves it to silly point, who stays in his crouch and takes a good catch low to his right. 186/3
68.2 to DPMD Jayawardene, and that is that. Mahela ends with 11814 Test runs, as he comes down the pitch, looks to go over mid-on, but doesn't reach the pitch of the ball and skies it really high. Shehzad runs back and to his left from midwicket and takes a good tumbling catch, and Mahela walks off, raising his bat to the crowd, big smile on his face. 189/4
82.3 to HDRL Thirimanne, what a delivery! That's the doosra, bowled slow outside off, and he went on the back foot, looking for the offbreak to cut or punch through the off side. Came in instead, and went between bat and pad and crashed into off stump as he tried hurriedly to bring his bat down to defend. 212/5

49.1 to Sarfaraz Ahmed, and that, I suppose, is that. It's angled across, wide of off, and Sarfraz goes for the sweep. Hits it uppishly, and straight into the hands of Sangakkara at deep square leg. 151/8
802923.62342003
3.4 to Khurram Manzoor, and he's gone! Poor shot from Khurram. It was wide outside off, not quite up there to drive, but he went hard at it with an angled bat and got a little tickle through to Dickwella. 17/1
5.5 to Ahmed Shehzad, good ball, and he's caught on the shuffle! That came in sharply off the seam, from just outside off, and he shuffled across, looking to work into the leg side, and was hit on the pads in front of off and middle, I think. He thinks a long time about reviewing, asks Azhar, finally decides to go for it, and the umpires tell him he's taken too long. Once again, the Shehzad-Azhar pair provide some pure DRS comedy!. 21/2
22.125752.57955000
10.2 to Azhar Ali, and Herath has struck! Simple catch to Mahela at slip after Azhar pushes forward, opened up by the inward angle, and gets a thick outside edge. 31/3
14.3 to Misbah-ul-Haq, Pakistan are in all kinds of trouble now. That was fired in with a lower trajectory, with that round-arm action, and it spun sharply from middle stump, took the outside edge as he looked to defend, and Mahela at slip takes number 205. 39/4
18.1 to Younis Khan, huge lbw appeal, Dickwella goes crazy, and goes even crazier as the finger goes up. Younis looked to sweep that from middle stump, missed completely, and the ball hit him on the back thigh (he was down on his knee) in front of middle. He reviews it, and they're looking to see if he got an inside edge as his bat swept across the ball. No sign of any defection. Ball pitched in line with off, went straight on with the angle, and that was hitting the stumps two-thirds of the way up. 50/5
34.4 to Asad Shafiq, gone! This was always going to be a danger when you keep running at the bowler on a turning track. This is a lovely length by Herath, slow and turning, dips just in front of the advancing Shafiq then grips and slips past the blade. Dickwella does some sharp work behind the stumps.. 105/6
52.1 to Wahab Riaz, whoa, ho! And that's the win for Sri Lanka. Looks to launch this over the leg side, and the top-edge goes flying way over the off side. Sanga ran to his right from point, Kaushal to his left from short cover, and they collided, but Sanga emerged with the ball in his hands. 165/9
1314613.53452000
37.5 to Abdur Rehman, gone! Rehman makes a poor choice to leave one that seemed to be heading for the stumps. This is fired in a little flatter on about off stump, would have gone on to hit the wickets at first glance. Doesn't matter where it's hit him, because he had not played a shot, but it seemed to hit him in line anyway.. 122/7
