4.4 to SR Watson, gone this time! Top bowling from Aamer! Once again Watson shouldered arms, but once again it pitched and straightened to his alarm. It crashed into his back pad, then ran up his body on to his arm before trickling on the stumps. Out bowled, but it would also have been a stone-dead lbw, the umpire had given the decision. 8/1
16.6 to RT Ponting, gone! Huge breakthrough for Pakistan and brilliant reflexes at short leg. Ponting middled his flick, but Umar Amin watched the ball and instinctively hung on. Short leg is a valuable position for Ponting, but you can't really plan for wickets like that. 51/2
64.6 to BW Hilfenhaus, the plan works! Aamer only needs one ball! It was full, swung back and through Hilfenhaus's defence to rattle off stump!. 222/9
76.5 to DE Bollinger, not so well played! The perfect ball to a No. 11. A full inswinging yorker, clatters the pads, ricochets into the stumps, and Australia's first innings is over!. 253/10
1956333.319313000
42.6 to MJ Clarke, Asif strikes! The last ball before tea, and Pakistan really needed this! It was a touch fuller, pitched in line and jagged back down the slope, Clarke was beaten by the movement as he tried to defend and this time umpire Gould gives the decision. Touch unlucky for Clarke, replays show it sliding down the leg side.. 171/3
44.3 to SM Katich, gone! Asif gets another and it's a massive wicket. On off stump and late movement away from Katich which took the outside edge through to Kamran Akmal. A cracking ball. The previous one came back in, this one shaped away.. 174/4
44.6 to MJ North, gone! What a beauty from Asif and North goes without scoring. Swung back into the left hander who played a loose drive and the ball took off stump. Great sight for Pakistan. 174/5
1733211.88871009
58.1 to TD Paine, gets this right though! Gul finally joins the paceman's party and Paine's tough debut innings is over! It was a touch quicker and it bounced a fraction more on Paine, moving away and clipping the outside edge through to Akmal, who made no mistake. 206/6
302508.3384000

59.1 to SPD Smith, And Kaneria wins the battle straight away! Pitched in line, it was a topspinner that squeezed between bat and pad, stuck in front, but replays show Smith got a faint inside edge, so he's unlucky. Big wicket that!. 208/7
61.6 to MG Johnson, lovely bowling! Really good to watch! The pressure built all over, Johnson had no idea what was going on, this was looped up outside off, Johnson aimed an airy drive and it spun back quickly through the gate on to the stumps. 213/8

BOWLINGOMRWECON0s4s6sWDNB

31.2 to Mohammad Amir, gone! Well, he can bat but not today. A short ball from Bollinger finds the outside edge as Aamer fends away from the body and it's a regulation edge through to Paine - his fourth of the innings. 117/7
35.4 to Umar Gul, gone! Simple as you like, the change of line works as Gul fends outside off and sends an easy catch to first slip...the angle confused him and he wasn't sure what to play and what to leave. 129/8
1223723.08586001
6.1 to Imran Farhat, yes it can! Great delivery, full and nipping up the hill to take the edge and give Tim Paine his first Test catch behind the stumps! Farhat was drawn into the drive, and paid the price. 11/1
16.6 to Azhar Ali, gone! Hilfenhaus has two and Azhar's lack of footwork costs him as he just pushes away from his body to a ball shaping away outside off and the thin edge is snaffled by Paine. 45/2
1023113.10496000
19.2 to Umar Amin, cracking delivery, back of a length, rising sharply, holding its line, grazing the edge, and flying through to the keeper. And now Pakistan are in strife. 54/3
7.514055.10355200
26.4 to Umar Akmal, gone! He's made the breakthrough, basically with a straight ball that Umar just plays right across and that looked pretty good on first impression. Watson celebrates with some feeling. 75/4
28.1 to Kamran Akmal, gone! Now Watson has two, what a turn up this is. And Kamran didn't even play a shot! He completely misjudged the line and went to pad up, but the ball was heading straight for middle and off. By the time he realised it was too late and Rudi Koertzen's slow finger was already being raised. 83/5
30.6 to Shahid Afridi, and Watson's figures have just got even crazier! He's picked up Afridi, and I guess it was bound to happen but what a shame. It was on off stump again and he tried to repeat his drive for six, but didn't connect cleanly and slotted it straight up in the air where Johnson settled himself calmly. 117/6
36.6 to Salman Butt, gone! Another for Watson and a lovely piece of bowling as he slips a fully delivery through an attempted drive. Late swing defeated the shot, it was almost a yorker, and Watson now has four. 133/9
40.5 to Danish Kaneria, gone! Watson's done it. Five wickets for him as Kaneria gets a thick edge to a very full delivery as he drives and Steven Smith grabs the catch at third slip. 148/10

16.3 to SR Watson, got him this time, and well bowled by Asif. He tempted Watson into another drive with a ball that was slightly wider, it swung a touch and the edge flew at chest-height to first slip. Watson falls after making another start.. 61/1
18.3 to RT Ponting, gone! What a misjudgement from Ponting. He's padded up to a straight ball. It swung back late, brilliant bowling, and that looked dead. But replays show it had done so much it was missing leg! Oh dear, Ricky.. 73/2
55.1 to MJ North, got him! Two wickets very quickly after lunch for Pakistan! This was very similar to Katich's dismissal, on a length outside off and nipping away off the seam. North thrust the bat out without moving his feet much and got a fine edge on the ball. Kamran did really well behind the stumps, as the ball really dipped on the way to him and he had to tumble forward and to his left to cling on. Game on now!. 188/7
2156142.90944023
26.3 to MJ Clarke, gone! Gul's done it. Clarke has shouldered arms and lost his off stump. It's not quite Simon Jones at Old Trafford but this has come back late, Clarke completely misjudges it and the off pole has gone backwards.. 97/3
26.4 to MEK Hussey, gone! First ball! It's all happening and Gul is on a hat-trick. Perfect length on off stump and takes Hussey's edge which carries low to first slip who takes a good catch.. 97/4
42.6 to MG Johnson, that's pitched up! Swinging, dipping full toss from Gul and that's totally surprised Johnson, who tried to glance to leg but didn't seem to pick the ball up. Well, the ball has smashed into the middle and off stumps, so obviously not! That's 100 Test wickets for Gul, and a nice way to get there for a fast bowler, splaying the batsman's stumps. 149/5
54.5 to SM Katich, gone! Gul strikes and Katich misses a ton for the second time in the game. He just felt for this outside off, it was back of a length and seamed away a touch. Very similar to his first-innings dismissal. 188/6
1727424.35749103
61.2 to SPD Smith, but this time he's gone! The bowling change does the trick! Kaneria floated one up on middle and off and the ball just hurried on straight after pitching, striking the front pad and then the bat. Huge appeal from the bowler straight away, who was convinced, and the umpire agrees. That's a good decision, would've hit middle stump three inches from the top. 208/8
90.6 to DE Bollinger, gone now! Well, he may have picked this one, but he was never going to hit it as he charged out of the crease and aimed a wild mow to the leg side, head in the air and eyes closed.. 334/10
1404413.14584001
79.4 to TD Paine, gone, out of nowhere Afridi strikes and Paine won't get a half century. Was very full and Paine tried to whip it through midwicket but just completely missed it. He basically yorked himself. 282/9

46.6 to Azhar Ali, gone! Hilfenhaus gets the breakthrough! Ali had been patient, but Hilfenhaus was equally patient and kept plugging away on that off stump line as he has done all morning. He finds some wobble away through the air, the ball jagging away after pitching to take a thick edge and Paine does the rest behind the stumps. Ali didn't really do anything wrong, he had to play at it, just a really good piece of Test bowling. 152/2
1857404.117911000
2155132.42953000
15.1 to Imran Farhat, aggression does for Farhat! It was slightly short on middle, not really turning much and Farhat hopped back to launch it through the leg side. But the ball just rushed on to him, he hit it neither straight down nor high in the air and so gave an easy catch to the man at a straightish midwicket. First Test wicket for Steven Smith, and the breakthrough for Australia!. 50/1
86.5 to Kamran Akmal, gone! Done him this time. It was a quicker ball and Akmal went for a pull, it kept a little low as well and that's that. Was too full to pull.. 283/7
90.1 to Umar Gul, Smith gets another and this is nearly over. Nice line on middle and leg which encourages Gul to play across the line and a leading edge goes to the Australia captain at short cover. Lovely piece of legspin bowling.. 287/9
602604.33254000
18.115563.02843200
55.1 to Salman Butt, gone! First ball...North does the trick and Salman Butt is distraught. The ball drifted down the leg side, Butt went to work it through the leg side and overbalanced out of his crease. Paine was very swift to take off the bails and the batsman can hardly drag himself off. The third umpire wasn't even asked for. 186/3
63.3 to Umar Akmal, gone! Would you believe it. North the destroyer. There was some extra bounce outside off as Umar tried to cut and it took a top edge to Clarke at slip. What a blow for Pakistan.. 216/4
67.1 to Umar Amin, gone! North picks up another one, arrowing the ball in towards middle and leg to take the inside edge of Amin's bat. The ball ricocheted off the bat/pad and flew very quickly to Katich at short leg, who held onto a brilliant reflex catch. Clinical stuff from Australia, and Pakistan are sliding now. 227/5
67.5 to Shahid Afridi, that's just frustrating. Afridi tries to heave the ball into the grandstand with a slog sweep, but hits it very high but not very far. Hussey sets himself underneath the swirling chance, holding on to a good catch. Pakistan are crumbling now.. 229/6
87.4 to Mohammad Amir, gone now! And North gets a five-wicket haul as Aamer slog-sweeps this from outside off straight down the throat of the man placed exactly for that at deep midwicket. He couldn't have picked him out any better.. 285/8
91.1 to Danish Kaneria, and that's it! Australia have won. Tossed up outside off and it's tamely driven to short cover. North ends with an incredible six-wicket haul. 289/10
