3.5 to Imran Farhat, and there's the breakthrough, and you have to say it was coming. Full and on off stump from Harmison, Imran couldn't resist the drive, and Kevin Pietersen took a comfortable squirted catch low at backward point. Another failure for Pakistan's openers, regardless of the new combination.. 4/1
5.6 to Kamran Akmal, and another one! Akmal caught in no-man's land, feet stuck in the crease and Trescothick at first slip takes an excellent catch as Geraint Jones does his old trick of diving straight across his team-mate. Could easily have got a fingertip to it, but Tresco kept his eyes on the ball&. 9/2
25.1 to Younis Khan, wide outside the off stump – very much a loosener – and slashed straight to Collingwood in the gully. Five minutes ago Pakistan seemed to have weathered the storm. Two loose shots later, and the balance has completely shifted. 90/4
27.1 to Inzamam-ul-Haq, That. Is. Massive. Inzamam - he of the nine fifties in a row - is gone for a duck and it was a snorter! Leapt off a length, took the splice and looped to Kevin Pietersen at backward point. Pakistan have lost four wickets in a flash and England are rampant. 93/6
33.5 to Mohammad Sami, and that's the five-fer! Harmison's first since Lord's last summer, and it was a routine length delivery, steered into Strauss's midriff at second slip. Never quite in line with the ball, and who can blame him?. 113/8
37.1 to Abdul Razzaq, six for Harmison! And the end of an uncomfortable vigil for Razzaq. Always fearing the short ball after that blow to the helmet, he wasn't ready for the full one, which burst through his leaden foot-movement to take out middle-and-leg. Pakistan on the brink here.. 118/9

301404.66101010

24.4 to Mohammad Yousuf, trying to run the ball down to third man, Yousuf gets the thinnest of inside edges to Jones as Panesar sets off on his cross-country celebartion. That gives the morning to England and after winning the toss, Inzamam will not be happy to go to lunch three down. He will be even less amused that he has to go to the middle for seven minutes.. 90/3
26.5 to Faisal Iqbal, and there it is! Brilliant stuff from Panesar. Landed every ball on a sixpence and left the pitch to do the rest. This one jumped and Faisal's attempted cut is steered into Jones' gloves. England are flying. 93/5
32.3 to Shahid Afridi, and there it is! Flatter and wider outside off stump, and another massive hoon from Afridi. Whirls his bat twice in his followthrough, but it makes no difference as Pietersen at point clings onto the steepler. Pakistan are in tatters!. 112/7

8.5 to ME Trescothick, after showing good judgment thus far, Trescothick finally nibbles at one slanted across him and Akmal holds a routine chance. Game on. 30/1
94.5 to GO Jones, That was a poor shot. It was not that short but Jones shaped to pull the ball, missed by some way and would have lost his middle stump. An unconvincing innings and you can almost see the vultures gathering on the roof of the pavilion as the battered Jones trudges off. 321/6
2829633.4212814016
49.2 to KP Pietersen, oh dear, oh dear! What a start for Pakistan. Pietersen, bristling as ever to get on with it, was drawn into another wide and swinging delivery. Never quite to the pitch and a flashing drive squirts ferociously to Mr Butterfingers himself, Imran Farhat at gully, who clings onto a screamer. Now we've got a game!. 169/3
87.2 to PD Collingwood, and there's the breakthrough, with possibly the worst ball that Gul has bowled all match! A rank long-hop, Collingwood was surprised by how awful his first new-ball delivery was, and he simply paddled it off the splice to square leg. Embarrassed celebrations, but Pakistan won't mind that. 288/4
91.6 to AN Cook, and that's the breakthrough. Full-length and wicket-to-wicket. Cook came forward but rapped on the back pad. Umpire Bucknor was motionless for a good five seconds which is always ominous for the batsman. But Gul has deserved that. Easily the pick of Pakistan's bowlers. 304/5
1947223.78868055
28.2 to AJ Strauss, and what do you know? The very next delivery, Strauss is gone. And would you believe it, it was a nice tight line across his bows that grazed the edge of his bat! I might have mentioned he was bowling too wide beforehand, but I won't bang on about it. 95/2
104.6 to SI Mahmood, attempted paddle through midwicket but he got a leading edge and the ball looped back to a grateful Razzaq. The crowd are silent and Pakistan barely manage any kind of celebration. Rarely can there have been a lower-key dismissal in a Test. 357/7
37810612.861718201
130.6 to SJ Harmison, tries another reverse sweep but only gets an edge into his pads and the balls loops high to Akmal. Kaneria finally has the wicket he really deserves and Harmison departs to warm applause. 457/9
2107613.61879102
115.3 to MJ Hoggard, and this time he's gone! A topspinner from Afridi, and Hoggard offers no stroke. Got a good stride in, but always dicey. Only suspicion was the height, but umpire Bucknor, after his lengthy deliberation, gives the nod.. 384/8

7.3 to Kamran Akmal, got him! That was vicious! Short, and nasty, absolutely reared off a good length, Akmal trying to come forward, sent back in a tangle of limbs as the ball crashed into his gloves, and Geraint Jones took a fine tumbling catch behind the stumps. England's two injured players come to the party!. 21/1
59.1 to Shahid Afridi, in the right area from Harmison and Afridi sends a thick outside edge straight into Strauss’s hands at catchable height at second slip. Afridi completely misjudged the length, there. 194/7
59.3 to Mohammad Sami, but that first lifter was one lifter too many! That was a horrible heave, a revolting smear across the line, thin edge and he had pirouetted a full 360 degrees before Jones took a simple catch! Two in three balls for Harmison!. 194/8
63.3 to Umar Gul, there it is! Ten in the match for Harmison, and again it's the short ball. Angling down the leg-side, Gul had a swish and Jones took a thin tickle off the gloves. Normally you'll call that a strangle, but such has been his discomfort against the short ball, it was somewhat inevitable. 208/9
67.1 to Abdul Razzaq, and that's the victory! Another short ball, a swirling top-edge. Jones with the gloves calls for it and hurtles forward, clutches it well, and flings it high into the air to spark the celebrations!. 222/10
612203.66252001
2747252.661277200
20.5 to Imran Farhat, and there it is! And you had to say that was coming. Massive uncertainty from the batsman, too short for the drive, and enough tweak to take an inside-edge and balloon up to short leg. Wonderful bowling from Panesar, and England have another breakthrough!. 60/2
32.1 to Mohammad Yousuf, What a start! Big appeal for a stumping already - and it's gone to the third umpireYousuf's toe is on the line ... and it's out! Big rip again from Monty, Yousuf overbalancing as he stretched forward to smother the spin, and his back foot just scraped out of the crease. Sharp work from Jones, and a massive breakthrough for England. 101/3
36.6 to Inzamam-ul-Haq, and another replay coming up! England think that was a catch off Inzamam's boot, and they could be right ...Straight down onto the toe, and looped up to silly point ...It's gone!Massive breakthrough for England, and that could be the gamebreaker. Inzamam never looked comfortable during his stay. He was shaken up by Harmison, and outfoxed by Panesar.. 117/4
48.6 to Younis Khan, huge appeal and gone! It’s the arm-ball. Monty Panesar strikes yet again; his fourth wicket of the innings. It would have hit the top of middle-and-leg according to Hawk-Eye. It was certainly too close to leave, as Khan did. 161/5
54.3 to Faisal Iqbal, Monty’s got a five-for. This one turned sweetly for a simple catch to first slip. 174/6
