29.2 to EJG Morgan, banged in again and Morgan swats across the line, a big edge balloons into the air and he's caught behind standing yards out of his crease! Think Mitch saw him coming, Morgan making a slight movement and then thinking about pulling out of the shot as the ball went away from him, taking the top of the toe-end and giving Ronchi his third catch. 126/5
49.6 to GP Swann, pitched up in the channel and Swann drills this straight to mid-off. A second wicket for McClenaghan ends the England innings nine down for what most will feel is a below-par 227. 227/9

43.2 to CR Woakes, oh, Kelly, what have you done! Woakes attempts to hit Mills into the Abbey Road, he's nowhere near the pitch and it comes off somewhere near the bottom of the bat, sails high into the off side and is safely pouched by the cover sweeper coming in. England lose a fourth batsman in the 30s. 182/7

10.2 to IR Bell, full and wide, driven at and nicks it behind Southee does the job again in drawing Bell out to drive, it swung away a little and Bell got a thick outside edge which was safely collected by Ronchi for his first catch for New Zealand. Full and a bit of swing and Southee is in business yet again. 45/1
12.4 to AN Cook, full length, driven at edged and gone and Southee's straightforward modus operandi does the trick again. Full and sliding past Cook who drives at it and edges to Ronchi who again takes a solid catch. 50/2
48.3 to TT Bresnan, slower ball, inside edge and bowled him! Clever bowling from Southee, an offcutter duping Bresnan as he attempted to bombard the cows in their special corner. 216/8
1003423.40321010
26.4 to JE Root, tries to be cute again and Root is bowled reverse-sweeping! McCullum tossed it up on middle and off, it perhaps hurried on a touch and Root missed trying to take the ball through the off side. Ring-a-ding-ding go the stumps. 117/3
28.3 to IJL Trott, scoops across the line and picks out deep midwicket, McCullum has another! Trott went looking for a boundary but halfway between a slog-sweep and a controlled paddle, the ball sailing neatly into the hands of the fielder a few feet in from the rope. 124/4

38.2 to JC Buttler, flatter delivery, Buttler tries to take it on, another reverse sweep and it loops straight to point! Frustration claims Buttler, who couldn't have picked out the man any better. Another wheel comes off the battlewagon. 159/6

0.3 to L Ronchi, full and driven at edged and taken with a very smart grab at second slip, lovely catch from Graeme Swann. A duck for Ronchi on his New Zealand debut, he was trying to on-drive a very full ball but got a thick outside edge as it left him slightly, it went low to Swann's left and he got down very sharply to snap up the chance, very well held, it went quickly to him. 1/1
0.5 to KS Williamson, another edge and another outstanding catch this time from Jos Buttler diving with one hand to his right, blinding catch inches from the ground. It was a full length ball just outside off, Williamson came forward to it and got a healthy edge which just carried to Buttler who got down in a flash and held it in the right mitt, superb catch and what a start for England. 1/2
25.2 to LRPL Taylor, he's got him, Anderson makes the breakthrough via a thin inside edge! This may have just drifted down the hill slightly, a lenght ball and Taylor was driving away from his body, on the up, the ball scraped a bit of paint off the bat before landing up in Buttler's gloves. A 120-run partnership has made NZ favourites but England have an opening. 121/3

40.3 to BB McCullum, full and wide, swung away off a big outside edge and deep cover takes the catch and that ends a very curious innings from McCullum, he was thrashing awkwardly at a lot of stuff and has now holed out to Morgan running in from the cover rope, simple chance. 185/5

37.1 to GD Elliott, floated up, goes to drive and gets done through the gate cleaned bowled. Went to drive from off stump but didn't get in a great position to do so at all, foot wasn't to the pitch, the bat was slightly outside the original line and went it turned a little and went down the slope, Elliot was done for, losing his leg stump. 168/4
