80.3 to SCJ Broad, this has to be the softest dismissal of the day, Harris bowls it short and outside off, not sure what Broad was trying to do, he tried to slash it over the off side and the ball took the top edge and it was an easy catch at point, would have been better had he slashed over the slips instead. 198/8
86.4 to GP Swann, the short ball does the trick! Harris bangs it in and the point was to get Swann to hook/pull with the fielders waiting in the deep, Swann pulls and Lyon takes the catch well in front of the rope at deep square leg. 214/9
2295822.631109000
52.3 to AN Cook, he pads up and Cook knows instantly that wasn't a wise decision at all! On a good length outside off and coming back in off the pitch, Cook was probably expecting it to move away, thrust his pad forward, no shot offered, struck in line with the off stump and the umpire gave him out in an instant. 153/4
91.6 to JM Anderson, it's all over! England have been wrapped up for 238. This one pitched on middle and Anderson slashed hard at it, but the late movement got him and the ball crashed into the middle stump. Excellent variation form Bird. Started with outswing, threw in a bouncer and got the wicket with one that came back in. 238/10
1362111.61691020
17.4 to JE Root, there's a loud appeal for a caught behind and Root's been given not out and Clarke wants it reviewed, Watson bowled it in the channel just outside off, Root was half forward to defend, there was a sound as the ball passed the bat and Hot Spot detected an edge, the Australians were confident from the start, Hot Spot showed only a small mark. Good enough for the dismissal though. 34/1
1864112.27894011
74.6 to MJ Prior, confident shout for lbw and Aleem Dar isn't convinced and Clarke wants it reviewed, Siddle was bowling from slightly wide of the crease and it landed well outside the off stump and came back in sharply, hit him on the front pad just above the knee roll, Hot Spot did not detect an edge, Hawk Eye shows that hitting the leg stump and Aleem Dar reverses his decision. 189/6
2074242.10994000
39.2 to IJL Trott, flicks off his pad, caught at short leg - and that's got him! It's that simple, Tony Hill raises his finger confidently this time and Trott knows he's hit it, looks ruefully at the sky and mooches off. It was a thin scrape off the inside edge trying to work square, it popped off the knee roll and Khawaja plunged to his right to complete the dismissal. 107/2
49.5 to KP Pietersen, Pietersen edges and he walks! Lyon continues round the wicket, tossed up outside off, the ball goes through with the arm, Pietersen was forward and across but didn't cover the line, thick outside edge and he didn't wait for the umpire to give him out, he walked. 149/3
55.4 to IR Bell, goes on the attack, doesn't come out of the middle and it's looped to mid-off, who takes a good, tumbling catch! Bell has done this a few times in recent months, usually to left-armers, but you wouldn't have expected it given his form this series... He skipped forward eagerly, looking to hit Lyon over the top as at Old Trafford but skewered it to Harris on the run. 155/5
77.3 to JM Bairstow, Bairstow is given out lbw on the sweep and he's reviewing it, Lyon was bowling round the wicket so the question was whether this straightened enough, pitched in line with middle stump and Bairstow was looking to sweep, too early on the shot, hit on the pads, Hawk Eye shows the ball clipping the bails, the umpire's call will stay on this occasion so Bairstow has to go. 193/7

84.3 to PM Siddle, length ball just outside off edged and taken at first slip, a good low catch from Cook again showing his decent hands in this series. Anderson gets himself on the board with a good probing line just outside off, Siddle poked at it and got a thick edge which just about carried low to Cook who claimed it with two hands. 245/8
86.5 to NM Lyon, full length at the stumps, Lyon plays right across it and is given out lbw got too far across his stumps and is caught in front of middle and leg. Anderson fired it in fuller and straighter and it deceived Lyon who planted his front foot on off stump, swung across the front pad but missed and when that happened, Aleem Dar was in no doubt that it was out. 258/9
24.377152.891208012
3.6 to DA Warner, oh he's gone! This one was right on target, he pitched it straight on the stumps on length, it seamed back in and Warner's bat came down late enough for the ball to hit the top of off stump. Broad has got the early breakthrough. 12/1
5.6 to UT Khawaja, he's been given, Broad strikes again! It was pitched on good length with late movement and was close to the stumps so Khawaja was in two minds - whether to play or leave. He decides to leave it at the last moment but the ball takes the bottom edge and goes to Prior's safe hands.. 12/2
13.1 to MJ Clarke, wild cover drive and edged to Cook at slip terrible, terrible, irresponsible stroke. Length ball well wide of off stump, Clarke inexplicably tried to drive it through cover but simply didn't bother to move towards the ball, it was all hands, he had no control and got a thick edge that carried high to first slip well. Awful shot, pretty pathetic really. 49/3
68.6 to SR Watson, full down the leg side, flicked at and, oh no it isn't is it? It is! A leg side strangle. Watson flicked at it, got plenty of bat on it and Prior tumbling to his left, took a solid catch with two hands. Just a regulation ball down leg, very poor delivery really, and it takes a wicket, funny game eh?. 205/5
89.3 to RJ Harris, full length, batsman caught on the crease, it looked straight, did he nick this, not out given, England review. Harris got across his stumps, it looks very straight, any edge? Nope, Harris is already walking off. I think there were too pads which might have deceived the umpire. Good review from England, Hawk Eye has it dead plumb on middle stump. Tony Hill gives it out but everyone is already half-way back to the pavilion, five wickets for Broad, a very good display, yesterday especially. 270/10
1936313.31806000
22.4 to SPD Smith, Smith is caught behind! Bresnan angled it in as it pitched on good length outside off, Smith leaned forward and poked at it which produced an outside edge and a low catch for Prior to his right. Australia in trouble here. 76/4
1854822.66877000
75.5 to BJ Haddin, Swann finds early turn from round the stumps, catches Haddin on the pads, and Hill says it is hitting, Haddin is reviewing, there is nothing on HotSpot, for the record, Haddin is deep in his crease, and that is why, even as he is hit on the knee roll, Hawk-Eye has it hitting middle comfortably two-thirds of the way up, absolute bonus for England, just before the new ball. 224/6
79.2 to CJL Rogers, Prior has made a lot of ground in front of the stumps to dive and pouch this one-handed, but has this taken some part of Rogers' bat as it pops up off pad flap, Hill shakes his head, Cook reviews, a faint mark does appear on the bottom of the glove on HotSpot replays as Rogers pushes forward, and he's been sent on his way to a standing ovation. 233/7

6.3 to JE Root, bowled him and that is a cracker, nowt you can do as a batsman, think Anderson to Clarke at Trent Bridge, that is a beauty. Full length, Root pushing forward, it seamed away and took the top of off stump, a gem of a delivery from Harris, absolutely superb. 17/1
12.6 to AN Cook, got him, Cook is caught at the wicket driving! He'd been looking to be more positive in this innings, the ball was wide, easy enough to leave but Cook went after it, aiming through cover and just got a feather on it - not dissimilar to his very first dismissal of this series, to James Pattinson on the first morning at Trent Bridge. 42/2
14.2 to IJL Trott, dug in short and there's a bit of glove on this, fantastic catch above his head from Haddin and England are three down! The get-on-with-it mentality has another victim as Trott falls for a breezy, confounding 23 - Australia have got him with the bumper again, Harris' delivery sliding down the leg side but Trott unable to pull out of an attempted hoick, little more bounce than he expected and there was just a flick of the glove on its way through. 49/3
82.2 to IR Bell, length ball and cleans up Bell totally castled. That jagged back sharply and kept low, Bell couldn't get down and across to it in time and it took the inside edge onto middle stump, not a great deal you can do with that, this new ball is flying around. Harris putting it in the right area again and the ball did the rest. 251/6
82.3 to MJ Prior, got him first ball! Off stump out of the ground, again there's sharp movement in off the seam, this actually bounces a little bit, Prior was blocking from the crease around off stump but got beaten completely, it came off his elbow and cannoned into off stump, Prior's lean run continues, five wickets for Harris. 251/7
84.6 to SCJ Broad, around the wicket, short ball and Broad is all over the place and tamely fends to gully. So that brief cameo from Broad is ended in brutal fashion, a very sharp bumper right at the throat, Broad lent back but couldn't get the hands out of the way as the delivery rose on him, it took the handle of the bat and looped to gully. 275/8
92.6 to TT Bresnan, oh well, as soft as you get, and Harris has his best figures, Bresnan was playing from the crease, he's tried to work a pitched up delivery to the leg side but has just popped it back tamely to the bowler, he is getting a standing ovation as he walks off, well-earned too, he's put England within sight of a lead of 300. 317/9

6.312203.38282000
1745903.477910010
22.135532.481004000
47.3 to KP Pietersen, plays across the line and again and a leading edge sails to cover, where Rogers stoops to claim the catch just above the ground! Lyon has conquered Pietersen again, who was intent on not playing through the off side and getting out in the manner of the first innings but found an even worse way to be dismissed, trying to take the ball from wide of the stumps through midwicket. KP has got another case of the yips and Gaz isn't even a left-armer!. 155/4
67.5 to JM Bairstow, breakthrough! Lyon strikes. Goes back to a short delivery, it bounces a touch more and takes the top edge as he goes to force into the off side. 221/5
95.1 to JM Anderson, that will be it, Haddin goes up immediately as Anderson pushes forward, HotSpot shows a faint mark on the outside edge, Aleem Dar's finger goes up immediately, and Anderson is off and jogging back to the dressing room. 330/10

48.1 to MJ Clarke, Stuart Broad, you indecipherable, incredible, unbelievable beauty, what a first ball after drinks, ripping ripper, Michael Clarke has no answer, probably no one would have had, angling in, belonging to the have-to-play category, then changes direction sharply and hits top of off, Broad goes off on a run, Clarke takes the long walk back, that was appreciable movement, like a quick legbreak. 174/4
50.3 to SPD Smith, oh dear, Smith's played on, how unfortunate is that, short delivery, angled in, around chest-high, Smith went for the hook, and the ball took a bottom-edge to fall on the stumps. 175/5
52.5 to BJ Haddin, Now Haddin has been given lbw. He's reviewed it, he'd been jumping to play even good length deliveries, is on his toes as he is hit just above the knee roll trying to work it to leg, HawkEye has that grazing the outside of the top of leg stump, oh that is marginal, that is even cruel, a batsman will tell you, but the umpire's call was out, and the umpire's call will stand. 181/7
56.6 to RJ Harris, that is gone, looks plumb, Harris pinned in the crease, the length ball jags back in at a sharp angle, and Harris misses, hit in front of middle, and HawkEye says that was hitting leg stump close to the top. 199/8
60.4 to NM Lyon, after those short balls, Broad goes full, and picks up his tenth wicket of the match by splattering Lyon's stumps into the ground, Lyon did manage an inside edge, but it didn't save him as the ball swung in. 211/9
68.3 to PM Siddle, full ball on off stump, loose drive into the off side, oh it's straight to mid-off and England have won the Ashes. Broad the man to finish the job with a length ball that Siddle tried to drive, got slightly wrong and chipped an easy catch to Anderson who turned to the stands and threw the ball to the heavens, that's the moment when England won the Ashes. 224/10
1323622.76614000
43.4 to DA Warner, oh what a beauty and finally one is nicked behind just a thin one through to the keeper, Warner goes after a fine innings but he's been drawn forward here to one angled across him and gets a very thin nick to Prior. Dar gives it out straight away and Warner walks off. 168/3
51.3 to SR Watson, no, please, this can't be happening again, how many times can this happen to an international batsman of some repute, it is officially time to rechristen the leg-before-wicket to you-know-what, Watson has planted that massive front leg across, you need to miss only one delivery in the time it takes to get your bat across that blockage, Watson has failed to do that yet again to this angled good length ball, Dar has raised his finger immediately, Watson has reviewed it, and HawkEye has that clipping leg stump, and the umpire's call stays. 179/6
1865322.94897100
29.2 to CJL Rogers, and there she comes, the much-desired breakthrough for England, good length now, fuller than the previous ball, angled in too, Rogers opened up, possibly looking leg side again, but this has gripped, straigthened and hurried on to middle, and the thick edge has gone low to slip. 109/1
39.1 to UT Khawaja, forward and given out lbw in front of off stump. The finger goes straight up, he seemed to just miss a straight ball there, hit his pad not the ball, the ball hit the pad in front of off stump and Khawaja has again played a funny little innings without any real substance. Perhaps he just misread the line. 147/2
