Sulakshana Naik - or Gauri, as she is known - first played for India in 2002 against South Africa. She continued for a few series, but lost her place and missed the World Cup in South Africa in 2005. Undeterred, she worked hard at her game and made her comeback earlier this year, where she toured Australia and New Zealand and has been rewarded with a place in the squad to tour Ireland and England this summer. A lively and energetic character, she plays her domestic cricket for Western Railway.
