2.5 to S Dhawan, whoah, that was outstanding from Anderson, big movement away after pitching outside leg, Dhawan forced to play, nicks it through to third slip, a low catch taken by Gary Ballance, and there's the first breakthrough. 11/1
31.1 to V Kohli, got him! That was beautifully bowled, angling in towards off, bringing the batsman forward, and Kohli's bat was perfectly straight and not far from his body at all but he couldn't do anything about the away movement, and Prior takes the outside edge tumbling to his right. 86/3
57.2 to STR Binny, another one for Anderson! Binny stuck in the crease to a back of a length ball, angling in towards middle and leg, hit low on the thigh pad, question was whether it was going over, seemed okay, the umpire certainly thinks so, India are seven down. 145/7
86.4 to AM Rahane, length on off stump, Rahane presses at it firmly, chipping it back to the bowler and Anderson clings on! A cracking reaction catch with the left hand, slight misjudgement from Rahane but he walks off to tremendous applause because it has been a magnificent century. Great catch from Anderson, getting down with one hand by his left knee to make the grab. 275/9
2257923.5910213000
47.2 to MS Dhoni, finds the edge! Broad strikes, from a full length. Dhoni pressed forward to a delivery outside off stump, takes a thin edge through to Prior. Significant inroads, now, for England. That's 250 Test wickets for Broad. 123/5
81.6 to B Kumar, full length at the stumps and straight through him! Goodness this seemed to keep low, bustled through the batsman into middle stump. I don't think it kept alarmingly low, I think the batsman was late on it, should have been forward and it shaped in a little too to beat Kumar's weak defensive prod hanging back. 235/8
1555113.40729001
21.3 to M Vijay, gone! Second catch of the morning for Ballance at third slip. Wasn't really a full delivery, was back of a length, Vijay went to turn it into the leg side, the ball straightened on him, and got a thick outside/leading edge which flew high towards Ballance who will have unsighted for a split second by the way the batsman played the shot. 48/2
17.454022.26917000
41.5 to CA Pujara, a beauty! This one nips back again and there's no pad in the way this time. On a full length, Pujara getting forward again, the ball jags off the seam and zips between the inside edge into middle stump. Delight for Stokes.. 113/4
91.4 to Mohammed Shami, it is perfect, on off stump, gets the outside edge, flies at a nice height to Cook at first slip, he doesn't drop this one, though he needs two attempts to take it, and that's his hundredth catch in Tests, India bowled out for 295. 295/10
1423812.71573000
50.4 to RA Jadeja, got him! Moeen strikes. No need for Anderson. Round the wicket, he skids one on, Jadeja is forward but that's no defence for batsmen these days. That was hitting middle two thirds of the way up. 128/6

10.1 to AN Cook, Cook falls cheaply, again! cue a hundred articles, superb line from Bhuvneshwar, just outside off, making Cook play, no footwork from Cook as he nibbles it through to the keeper, India strike even before they have had time to rue the Rahane miss. 22/1
14.1 to SD Robson, another one for Bhuvneshwar, pitched up and curling away outside off, Robson gets forward and goes for the drive, gets a thin edge through to the keeper, Bhuvneshwar has his second in a long and testing spell, Robson could have left that one alone, this is probably the last over of Bhuvneshwar's spell. 31/2
31.4 to IR Bell, gone! Three for Bhuvneshwar. No need to rest this man yet. Extra bounce from short of a length, takes Bell by surprise as he tries to leave and he can only fend a glove towards third slip for a gentle catch. An odd dismissal. It wasn't a vicious ball, by any means, but the line was good and nipped back. Pretty poor played, really, by someone of Bell's quality. Another nothing score for him. 70/3
82.1 to GS Ballance, and how the game changes! It's a real bonus for India. It was a full ball down the leg side, Ballance went to turn it around and just got a thin edge down the leg side which is well caught by Dhoni. 214/6
98.2 to BA Stokes, another five-for for Bhuvneshwar, gets this one to go through the defences of Stokes, off the back pad and onto the stumps, Stokes gone for a duck, Bhuvneshar on the honour's board, emulating another swing bowler from Meerut, Praveen Kumar, who took a five-for in 2011. 276/8
98.4 to SCJ Broad, make that six for Bhuvneshwar, looking to carve this through the off side, short of length and outside off, top edge and through at a comfortable height to Dhawan at slip. 280/9
1955813.05908012
94.3 to MJ Prior, a breakthrough, Prior goes for the pull as Shami bangs it short, hits the top edge and the ball swirls high over the slip cordon, usually you expect the keeper to be under these sort of chances, Dhawan was a little ahead of Dhoni though, and he called for it and pulls off a sharp catch, he enjoyed that immensely. 265/7

46.3 to JE Root, forward, this skids on, strikes the pad, huge appeal for lbw and given out! There's been no spin but plenty of skid and this has done for Root, Bruce Oxenford thought about it before raising the finger. Ooo immediate hot of Hot Spot and it shows a big inside edge! Question was, did the edge come before the pad? They were close together but it definitely came off a thick inside edge and looking at another replay, it looks bat first, poor Root. 113/4
105.5 to JM Anderson, tossed up, Anderson goes for the reverse sweep and he gloves it to slip! Jadeja gets his man, Anderson misjudging the stroke, it bounced a little on him and popped up for an easy chance to first slip, a big smile from the bowler. 319/10
301214.00122000
78.5 to MM Ali, breakthrough! Out of nowhere Vijay has the wicket. It was just a very full, straight delivery which he went to turn through the leg side and missed. Careless from Moeen. 211/5

82.4 to M Vijay, draws him into a fatal flirt, Vijay nicks off! England have their third wicket of the morning, Anderson bellows out a roar as he leaps in celebration - there'll be no Lord's century for India's best batsman, despite a fabulously patient knock. This zipped through and left him outside off, didn't really need to play at it but Vijay was mesmerised. 235/7
2369314.0410415010
46.3 to AM Rahane, short again, fended at, it loops a long way in the air and up towards square leg, here comes Prior sprinting up and diving and taking the catch! But was it off the glove? Yes says Bruce Oxenford! Rahane shakes his head and the replay reveals it was flush off the arm guard, not even that close to the glove, a very poor decision but India have made their bed and now must lie in it. Nasty short ball from Broad, Rahane played it poorly but got very unlucky with that decision. 123/4
18.125132.80827000
13.6 to S Dhawan, oh dear, Dhawan has given it away here, short and wide from Dhawan, who hammers it towards point, Root dives to his left to take a superb catch, that ball was hit hard by Dhawan, but Root was quick enough to snaffle that, not exactly a ball that should have fetched an opener's wicket in a Test, but Stokes doesn't care, he has the first breakthrough of the innings. 40/1
99.1 to RA Jadeja, Cook takes another skier, Jadeja goes for another pull after charging out, gets the top edge and this superb counterattacking innings from Jadeja is over, the Lord's honours board will be disappointed Jadeja's name won't figure on it, he might get there yet with a five-for. 334/8
103.1 to B Kumar, back of a length, edged and gone, Bell clasps it at second slip! He tosses the ball away, England have wrapped up the innings with 3 for 8... but the 99-run stand between Jadeja and Bhuvneshwar that went beforehand may prove decisive. 342/10
2266532.951029000
43.3 to CA Pujara, Plunkett has got the big one, he bowls one back of a length and outside off, Pujara reaches out to a ball he perhaps could have left alone, slight movement away, nicks through to the keeper, like in the first innings Pujara spends plenty of time in the middle without going on to make a big score, very unlike him. 118/2
43.4 to V Kohli, whoah! after nearly an hour of snoozeworthy cricket, Plunkett has brought this crowd alive, he has two in two, Kohli is gone for a golden duck, he was looking to shoulder arms to a short of length ball that angled in, that nips in a long way and crashes into the top of off, wow, Test cricket. 118/3
75.1 to MS Dhoni, wicket! once more Dhoni is caught in the cordon, was stuck on the crease as he prodded at that length ball, outside edge and a smart catch by Bell at second slip, reverse-cup technique, Plunkett making an impact again just when India were putting together a partnership. 202/5
1132822.54482000
76.5 to STR Binny, Alastair Cook has put down some chances this summer, but he has taken a very tough one to dismiss Binny, who has gone for a big hit early on, a rash shot, he ends up skying it over mid-off, Cook has to run backwards and he takes the catch with the ball dropping over his shoulder, well-judged, not so well judged by Binny, he's a naturally aggressive batsman, but think that shot is going to haunt him for a while, and could even end his Test career for the near future. 203/6
100.2 to Mohammed Shami, sliding on and is there a thin edge? Bruce Oxenford says yes! Moeen picks up another, straight into the gloves and that is a blob for Shami, a rare instance of the tail quivering. Looks like the faintest of nicks, according to the replays, so well spotted. 338/9

28.1 to GS Ballance, wicket first ball, Ballance has to go, pitched up and outside off, Ballance pokes at that one away from his body, and through for a simple catch to Dhoni. 70/2
2367473.2110410002
29.2 to IR Bell, bowled him, Ishant strikes! Beautiful line of attack from the bowler and again the ball hurried Bell, shot through a little low and he played slightly inside it, crashed into off stump and rolled gently back. Bell fails to chime again. 71/3
31.2 to AN Cook, drawn forwards and edged behind, Ishant has another, India are in clover! Cook has to go, a rueful look on his face, it was just a faint nick through to Dhoni but that'll do the job. The angle forced him to play, just held its line on pitching, another super delivery and England are really rocking now. Cook's struggles continue, now nine innings since his last fifty. 72/4
75.6 to MM Ali, dug in, Moeen takes his eye off the ball and ducks into it - gloves to short leg and he's gone, with the last ball before the interval! Half of the ground erupts, the rest sit in stunned silence. Ishant has ripped out a huge wicket, ending a 101-run stand and giving India something to savour over their sandwiches. The ball was short and rose at a horrible angle for Moeen, he stuck up his dukes but the killer punch had already been thrown. 173/5
79.5 to MJ Prior, oh boy! it has worked! it is short once more, Prior pulls once more, picks out Vijay at deep midwicket, I promise to not doubt India's tactics. 198/6
81.2 to BA Stokes, Stokes' miserable run continues, duck again! Ishant has five, again the short ball has done it, this was well outside off Stokes goes for the pull, hits low on the blade and swirls high towards midwicket, safely taken by Pujara, India tighten their grip on this one, Stokes' recent scores for England: 0,5,5,4,0,4,0,0,0,0. 201/7
81.5 to JE Root, oh my god! this is absolutely surreal, what on earth is going on out there, another short ball, another pull, straight to deep square leg, Binny takes that and celebrates like Lee, jumps and clicks his heels, England batsmen have taken leave of their collective senses here, Root drops the bat in disappointment after playing that shot, he is mortified, he should be. 201/8
85.6 to SCJ Broad, Ishant has seven! short ball down the leg side, Broad tickles it down to the keeper, off the gloves and through to Dhoni, a career-best performance for Ishant, all five England wickets gone down to the short ball, India one away now from ending there 15-match overseas streak, and their awful overall record at Lord's is also set to brighten. 216/9
32.275311.631511000
6.1 to SD Robson, sliding on with the arm, strikes the pad before bat... and given! What a start for Sir Jaddu, following on from his sparkling innings earlier! Robson shakes his head, he has a filthy look on his face, but Hawk-Eye backs up Dharmasena, suggesting the impact was just in line with off stump, definitely pad before bat and India have their first scalp. 12/1
