29.4 to L Vincent, and would you look at that! After unsettling him with a snorter last ball, Steyn hustles in and digs one in short again and Vincent is simply hurried into his pull shot, lobbing it up in the air for Harris to run across to square leg and pouch an easy take, very clever bowling from Steyn. 88/2
35.5 to SB Styris, trapped him! Steyn follows up with a slower delivery, full on middle and leg and swinging in nicely, Styris is back and rooted to the crease, attempting to work it across the line but the bat comes down way too late and he's caught plumb in front, another excellent change-up from Steyn!. 105/3
55.3 to MR Gillespie, gone! Gillespie departs for 0 on debut, staying back in his crease and bringing the bat down late, he's caught dead in front of middle stump to a full delivery coming back off the seam. 187/7
55.4 to IE O'Brien, and he goes first ball! Steyn bowls it full in that channel outside off stump and O'Brien cant stop himself from having a flirt, edging to Gibbs at gully, moving to his left and taking an easy catch. 187/8
15.445223.31739000
7.6 to MHW Papps, but he's not so lucky this time! Ntini pitches short of a length outside off stump, gets it to kick up off the surface and Papps, initially coming forward, is unable to get back in time and edges it to a diving Gibbs at gully, who gets forward and takes it inches off the ground. 26/1
56.4 to CS Martin, all over! Pitches on a length and moves away, and he can only edge to Kallis at second slip!. 188/9
1123513.18505002
48.6 to SP Fleming, another good catch, to a poor ball! Kallis offers him another short and wide delivery and Fleming again gets back to slap this over the infield, except its that man Prince at point once more, standing in the way and plucking another stinger in front of his face to get rid of him. 165/5
1334223.23617000
43.1 to LRPL Taylor, excellent catch at gully! This one is short and wide and Taylor slashes it very hard, its traveling like a rocket but Prince intercepts it with a lovely catch above his head to his left! There's not much you can do when someone as sharp as Prince holds onto a firm cut shot like that, and Taylor walks off shaking his head. Really a good catch at gully, that ball was asking to be hit however.. 147/4
52.6 to BB McCullum, edged and gone! On the stroke of tea, Nel strikes, pitching on a length and sucking McCullum forward, pushing at it and edging low and fast to an excellent de Villiers at third slip, diving to his left and taking it in front of Kallis, another good catch sums up the second session for you!. 184/6

0.6 to GC Smith, bowled em! Martin gets him as at Johannesburg! Pitches full and moves away from outside off stump and a feeble Smith just pokes at with a closed face and inside-edges back onto off stump! New Zealand are cock-a-hoop!. 2/1
8.5 to HH Gibbs, well there you go! Lack of footwork does him in, Martin pitching a fraction fuller, on a length, and swinging the ball back in to a leaden-footed Gibbs whose bat comes down very late, one-handed, and misses the line of the ball completely as it jags back to peg back off stump! That wasn't hard to foresee, honestly, judging by how Gibbs has been stuck at the crease. 31/2
30713654.5313018205
59.5 to JH Kallis, and he departs as Gillespie's maiden Test wicket! Pitches full on off stump and jags back in sharply to catch him on the front pad in front of middle stump as the bat comes down late, everyone appeals and after a brief thought, up comes the finger of fate! But what an innings from Kallis, well played ... New Zealand really had to toil for that wicket and Gillespie is over the moon. 251/3
68.5 to AG Prince, gone! Gillespie serves up another loopy half-volley outside off stump, to follow up after the sharp one into the rib cage, and Prince flashes at it away from his body, a tad early into the shot, only to spoon a catch to gully!. 282/4
83.3 to MV Boucher, bowled em! Full and wide, Boucher goes for the drive and mistimes it, simply getting an inside-edge back onto his stumps, just leaned back and drove loosely. 325/6
85.2 to AB de Villiers, good catch! Banged in short of a length on the stumps, sits up as de Villiers takes his eyes off it and tries to hook, mistiming it as he was not in control, the top-edge goes up in the air for a long time and heads down towards fine leg, Martin converges from his position on the ropes but McCullum calls for it, covering a lot of ground and finally pouching a good catch, he had to move a long way but kept his eyes on it! Gillespie has a fourth wicket as New Zealand chip away at the lead. 332/7
85.6 to PL Harris, edged and gone! What a reversal of fortunes for Gillespie after a tough first day in Test cricket! He follows up the short stuff with one pitched up on a length and Harris, looking to cut, gets very, very cramped for room and slashes an outside edge for a regulation take behind the stumps! Thats five wickets on debut for Gillespie!. 332/8
21.367823.629612001
80.1 to HM Amla, caught at cover! Amla stands rooted and slashes hard at one just short of a length outside off stump, uncertain about his footwork and whether to drive or cut, and ends up hitting to a diving Papps at short cover, moving to his right, a good take and Amla's vigil ends. 312/5
97.3 to DW Steyn, big slog and a fine catch! Steyn again does as he pleases, heaving across the line, mistiming it up miles in the air down towards cow corner, where Papps runs around from deep midwicket and collects it after juggling, cupping it and sliding to his knees but not allowing it to slip out!. 383/10
2026113.05865103
96.6 to A Nel, and the fun ends, at least for Nel! Vettori tosses it up on the stumps, the ball pitches and goes straight on with the arm, Nel kneels down to sweep, misses, and gets rapped plumb in front for an easy decision from umpire Harper. An entertaining knock during an entertaining stand.. 383/9

0.4 to L Vincent, gone, but a tough call! Steyn pitches full and straight, slides the ball into Vincent as he shuffles back and drives from the crease, the bat turning in his hands, and he's struck outside the line, so a poor call from umpire Benson because that ball was missing leg stump. 4/1
2.3 to MHW Papps, another opener down, leg before! Papps goes, caught in the crease as he plays back to a full delivery pitching just outside off stump and coming in to clip the flap of the back bad in front of off, Steyn belts out the appeal and Benson raises the finger of fate, that looked out. 9/2
30.6 to SP Fleming, nailed! Fullish on about leg stump, straightens and swings down to hit Fleming in front of leg stump as the bat comes down late, Steyn and the slips go up and after a thought Benson agrees with that one .... replays indicate the ball pitched outside leg stump and may have slid down. In real time, however, it looked out.. 117/5
32.2 to BB McCullum, outswing does the trick! Good delivery, pitching full and deviating away after sucking McCullum into a faulty attempted leg-side shot, he gets a thick outside-edge which flies into Smith's safe hands at first slip!. 128/6
32.6 to MR Gillespie, call it the commentator's curse but he edges the next delivery! Full and wide, again swinging away and drawing him forward, from deep in the crease, and the thick outside edge flies low and hard to Kallis at second slip! Thats another five-wicket haul for Steyn!. 128/7
34.3 to IE O'Brien, all over! Steyn gets ten in the match for the second consecutive Test as he splays the stumps! Simple death, pitching full on middle stump, swinging, and sneaking through his shaky defensive and South Africa fairly explode on the pitch in raucous celebration! An innings and 59-run hands them the series 2-0!. 136/9
1243913.25565000
33.6 to DL Vettori, oh de Villiers you beauty! Dives full stretch to his right left at cover, going upwards, and plucks a complete stunner to get rid of the captain, leaning forward and driving a half-volley on the up! South Africa one away from victory! Some effort that by an acrobatic de Villiers. 136/8
722002.85344000
521813.60244000
19.5 to SB Styris, and thats out! Similar delivery and similar shot, the attempted off-drive from Styris, but he's not so lucky with the outside edge this time, steering it straight into second slip's lap!. 69/3
