0.2 to GC Smith, second ball of the day and Smith is history! good length delivery, pitched in-line with the leg stump and shaping across, Smith goes back to defend but is beaten all ends up and the ball hits the pad right in front of the stumps - what a start.. 0/1
0.3 to HH Gibbs, Third ball of the day and Gibbs is history! South Africa in all sorts of trouble here - another line and length delivery, this one shaped away late and Gibbs was sucked forward into the defensive shot, Malik at first slip took it low towards his right, Gibbs' problems with the bat continue.... 1/2
49.2 to JM Kemp, and Gul strikes straightaway! Kemp goes for the big one but on this occasion he only manages to find the fielder at long-on. End of a fighting knock from the big man - South Africa eight down. 199/8

9.3 to HH Dippenaar, three down! short rising delivery, this one was pitched close to the off stump line, Dippenaar was beaten by the late away movement and the edge is produced. Akmal dived full stretch to his right and took it from right in front of the first slip, brilliant take.. 27/3
11.3 to JH Kallis, edged and gone! this is brilliant stuff from Rao - he hit the perfect line and length and the pitch did the rest, late away swing draws Kallis forward into the drive and the edge goes straight to Akmal behind the stumps. South Africa four down and looking straight down the barrel here. 36/4

12.5 to AB de Villiers, and the party continues! good length delivery, bowled from wide of the crease, came in with the angle and shaped away after hitting the deck, another thick edge produced on the froward prod and Akmal makes no mistake.. 42/5
1003313.30372000
43.6 to MV Boucher, finally the breakthrough - slightly short and on the stumps, Boucher steps forward and swings hard, ball clips the edge and balloons up towards point, Hafeez calls for it and nicely settles under it, took a long time for the ball to come down but he took it as clean as a whistle - end of an amazing partnership. 173/6
812312.87320120
46.2 to SM Pollock, Pollock too perishes trying to up the tempo - comes down the track and swings hard - looking to clear the man at long-off, get the height but not the distance, Rao at deep long-off times his jump to perfection and takes a fantastic overhead catch - Hafeez strikes. 182/7

6.5 to Mohammad Yousuf, finally he gets his man, that too with a beauty! good length delivery, this one hit the deck and nipped back in. Yousuf pushed forward in an effort to negate the swing but he made the cardinal mistake of leaving a big gap between bat and pad and there followed the dreadful sound of timber breaking. 17/3
12.1 to Shahid Afridi, that's the end of that ! a skidder, pitched on middle and off and angling in, Afridi makes room and swings hard, again the bat was nowhere near the line of the ball but this time the result is fatal - ball hits the pad in-line with the leg stump and the loud appeal is upheld by umpire Benson. 42/7
622153.50292110
1.2 to Mohammad Hafeez, short of a good length delivery, all Ntini had to do was hit the right line and length, ball moved away sharply, Hafeez had no option but to play at it and the edge went straight to Smith at first slip - as expected Ntini strikes early. 5/1
3.6 to Imran Farhat, once again Farhat holes out in the deep playing a half-hearted cut - short and angling across, Farhat tried to pull out of the cut shot but it was too late and the ball sailed straight to Pollock at third man.. 9/2
7.2 to Younis Khan, Khan finds a solution to his misery! short ball, coming in with the angle - Khan goes for the pull and ends up edging it straight up towards mid-on, Langeveldt judged it to perfection - Ntini gets one more to his name and Pakistan's slump continues. 21/4
7.4 to Shoaib Malik, another one bites the dust! short delivery down the leg side, Malik has a poke at it and the ball goes behind off the glove - Boucher had to dive full length to his left, he was at full stretch and horizontal to the ground when he took it - unbelievable stuff, easily one of the best catches I have ever seen. 21/5
9.6 to Kamran Akmal, Cometh the hour, cometh the man - Ntini on the rampage here! good length delivery, this one just jagged back off the track and Akmal is trapped stone dead - easy one for Billy. Pakistan six down - South Africa need just four more to wrap this up. 27/6
602303.83272040
622033.33294000
14.4 to Abdul Razzaq, now what can i say! good length delivery, seamed in sharply and Razzaq was beaten by the movement, plays an awkward looking defensive shot, ball clips the inside edge, kisses the pad and crashes into the stumps - Langeveldt picks up a wicket in his first over and South Africa are just two wickets away from the semis. 47/8
22.3 to Umar Gul, Nine down! short ball on the off stump, Gul goes for an ambitious pull shot and ends up getting a top edge, ball goes high in the air, Boucher gets underneath and takes the skier. 77/9
24.6 to Yasir Arafat, All over! short ball banged in outside off stump, Yasir falls back and slashes hard, ends up hitting high in the air towards thirdman, Ntini runs across and takes an easy catch. South Africa win by 124 runs. 89/10
