1.6 to DA Warner, first strike! Dhawan takes a smart catch at third slip. This takes off from a length and catches the shoulder of the bat - Warner was jabbing at that while on the crease - it flies low towards the cordon. Dhawan has been one of the more secure hands there and he doesn't make a mistake.. 0/1
70.5 to JA Burns, Mr Burns has to go! He goes for the pull that is not really short enough, and he gets a bottom edge through to the keeper. That's 13 on debut for the batsman. That came in a touch too, cramping the batsman. 216/5
142.3 to SPD Smith, he has lost his middle stump! He goes all the way to the off side to play a ramp shot, but misses a straight delivery. It strikes the top of middle stump. To be frank, the bowlers never looked like taking that wicket and it was up to Smith to do something crazy to give it away. 530/10
29413844.7512023010
36.2 to CJL Rogers, bowls length delivery outside off and manages to get the outside edge! If they needed any confirmation about what is the right length to bowl on this pitch, this is it. Rogers pushed at it but it kept going away with the angle. 115/2
60.6 to SE Marsh, another one for Shami! This is a loose shot by Marsh. It's the length delivery outside off again, and Marsh goes for a front foot cut shot, which would have worked well in sub-continent, but not here.. The bounce means it takes the outside edge and flies to the keeper. 184/4
100.6 to BJ Haddin, a wicket from nowhere! Haddin looks to leave this length delivery outside off but is a little too late to get his bat out of the way.. this takes the bottom edge and dies on to the keeper but Dhoni takes a good low catch. 326/6
141.6 to NM Lyon, swings and misses a straight one, that one hits the leg stump. Lyon doesn't really care. He has done the job of rubbing it in.. 530/9
44913433.0419810400
37.2 to SR Watson, and another wicket! Watson goes for the sweep when he was playing solidly with the straight bat. He misses the ball, gets rapped in front of the off stump. 115/3
111.4 to MG Johnson, he has missed this one completely! Johnson steps out early to slog it over the leg side but this drifts in and slides through the gap. Dhoni does the rest. Johnson doesn't even look back. Knows he is gone the moment his misses it. 376/7
135.4 to RJ Harris, and he misses a straight ball to be given out lbw! He went for the big sweep and missed it completely. That would have hit the stumps. 482/8

126.2 to V Kohli, and he gets the big wicket! After 29 overs of toil, Johnson has something to show. But check that out for a catch from Haddin. He dives full length to his right and plucks it in front of first slip. It was going straight into Watson's hands. Kohli tried to chase that full and wide delivery, but got a thick outside edge.. 462/8
126.4 to UT Yadav, a wicket falls of the second ball, just like yesterday! Not much Umesh could have done with it. It was short and rising past his left shoulder, he tried to play at that but it keeps getting bigger on him. Faint edge en route to the keeper. 462/9
128.5 to Mohammed Shami, he wraps it up with a fuller delivery outside off. Smith takes a nonchalant catch at second slip as this flies towards him head high. 465/10
2677042.691218010
14.2 to S Dhawan, that's the outside edge! Harris bowls it short of length on off stump and this one does a little to catch the shoulder of the bat and flies to Smith who takes a good low catch at second slip. Dhawan hung is bat loosely there, falls yet again after getting a start to the innings. 55/1
37.2 to CA Pujara, a wicket second ball! Stunning catch by Haddin. Yesterday he had dropped a much simpler one, but this time Haddin more than makes up for it. He dives full length to his right and plucks this with one hand, catches it in the webbing. It would have gone straight to first slip anyway, but these catches charge up the fielders. Poor shot from Pujara as he tried to cut something that wasn't so far wide.. he got a little cramped for room. 108/2
116.4 to MS Dhoni, he flirts with this length ball outside off and gets out caught behind! He was trying to run it down to third-man. It works so well in ODIs but for some reason, he keeps getting out this way in Tests. 430/6
118.2 to R Ashwin, and here's another one! Harris takes a tumbling catch in his follow through. Ashwin drives at this fuller delivery and is not able to keep it down, Harris stretches his right hand out, is not able to cling on. Luckily the ball doesn't get away from him and he is able to make a second grab at that. 434/7
2567503.001136000
1636514.067310000
49.5 to M Vijay, Vijay has given it away! Watson keeps pegging away at that off stump line and finally Vijay is lured into a loose shot. He stays in the crease and looks to cut it through backward point, but that has flown of the edge straight to first slip. There were similarities to Pujara's shot there.. 147/3
29310823.721098000
107.4 to AM Rahane, and there is the breakthrough! Rahane looks to repeat the sweep shot but this is much straighter and fuller from Lyon, he misses and his hit on the back pad. The umpire takes time and then raises his finger. Rahane gets a pat on the back from Kohli and a standing ovation from the crowd as he walks back. Superb innings from him.. 409/4
109.6 to KL Rahul, he's gone next ball, it was full and well outside off, hitting the rough as well, Rahul goes for an expansive sweep, top edges that towards backward square leg, simple catch and it is not put down this time, there's plenty of hype around Rahul, but he's played a couple of strange shots in his short debut innings. 415/5

33.3 to SPD Smith, would you believe that! A catch at leg slip. This was a poor delivery, it was going down the leg side and Smith looks to flick it fine to the boundary again, but Rahane is standing really fine at the position and dives to his right to intercept that beautifully. There you go.. Leg-slip. Where's Vijay?. 131/3
55.2 to BJ Haddin, caught down the leg side! Yadav keeps getting batsmen down the leg side. He bowls it full, and this tail in sharply, slipping down the leg side. Dhoni appeals immediately and the umpire agrees. Haddin is not too happy but he will have to go. There is something on the snicko..nothing on the hot-spot. 202/6
2849223.2811910010
67.1 to MG Johnson, end of Johnson's stay! Shami bowls a bouncer and Johnson has a swing at that, gets a bit of top-edge and it lobs up for the man at midwicket. Just got a bit too big on him. Lots of words from Indian fielders has Johnson walks back. 234/7
93.4 to RJ Harris, finally a wicket breaks the monotony of the morning! This one swings away from a length and catches the outside edge through to the keeper. 303/8
2054922.45965005
24.1 to SR Watson, edged and this time it's gone! Ishant Sharma finally gets a wicket in the game. This is on a good channel outside off, it draws the batsman forward and Watson can only manage a thick outside edge. Dhoni does well to swoop this low effort on to his right. The umpires check for a no-ball but Ishant can happily keep this wicket.. 98/2
45.3 to JA Burns, Mr Burns has to go! He pokes his bat at this length delivery outside off, it bounces a touch extra, gets a big deflection and a good catch from Dhoni, diving to his right. Similarities to how M Vijay or Pujara edged behind in India's innings. 176/5
2847522.671243200
14.2 to DA Warner, loud appeal and this time the umpire raises the finger! This was tossed up on the off and middle line, Warner comes forward to defend but plays outside the line of the delivery, the drift bringing it in more than the batsman anitcipated, it hits him on the back leg right in front of the middle. 57/1
40.3 to CJL Rogers, he is got him! Rogers doesn't really get too far from him 50s anchor. Rogers plays forward to this tossed up delivery, a bit outside the line, but gets an inside edge on to his pads. It rolls on to his stumps.. 164/4

2.2 to KL Rahul, gone! gone! Another brain freeze for Rahul! This is one match he would want to forget very quickly. Looks to take on Johnson's short delivery, but this is well outside off, and all Rahul can manage is a thick top edge. Watson jogs back from first slip and completes a good catch. 5/2
50.6 to CA Pujara, what a delivery! He follows up two bouncers with a superb slower delivery. That pitches on off and straightens past the bat to strike the top of off. This is excellent. Pujara thought he had everything covered, but that sneaks past the outside edge. 141/5
1683021.87834000
1.2 to S Dhawan, gone! That is gone. This is full and swinging in, Dhawan plants his front foot forward too early and gets hit on the knee roll..That's plumb in front. 2/1
34.1 to V Kohli, he strikes first ball! Flicked straight into the hands of square leg. It was a gentle length delivery on the stumps, Kohli is not able to keep his flick down and lobs a gentle one for Mr Burns. Kohli cannot believe he has played that shot. Big big wicket and the complexion of the game changes completlely. 104/4
1534022.66746000
8.1 to M Vijay, it's gone! Vijay is gone. Australia are all over India's top order. That is a huge wicket. That swings in sharply into Vijay and strikes the pads as the batsman misses the flick. Umpire Dharamsena lifts his finger after giving it some thought. A bit leg-sidish that delivery.. maybe it was hitting leg, maybe it was missing.. 19/3
54.6 to AM Rahane, Rahane!! He has given it away..Short delivery outside off, he goes for the pull after being quiet for a while, this catches the splice of the bat and goes straight into the hands of midwicket.. 142/6
