Well that's all from us for tonight, and all the analysis on the day's play will follow soon after. Till then. Ciao ciao.

Presentation

"The bowlers did well," MS Dhoni says. "They learnt from the last time, but the batsmen played too many shots. I think the shot selection was not right. The SA attack are very accurate and they keep bowling in the same areas and that's what makes them different. Overall, there was not much for the bowlers, not much seam or swing, so that's why I say they bowled well. The pitch was a nice one and the target was a decent one, and we didn't execute our plans with the bat. I don't get too much worried about the losses, how we stand up from here is what i want to see. That will test our character."

"It was a very emotional day and I am glad we came out here and played good cricket," AB de Villiers says. "We have been searching for consistency for a long time and to do it against the No 1 team is a job well done. Quinton and Hash have been very good up front, we struggled towards the end. I though 230-240 was par score, so to get 280 was very good. Quinton de Kock is a very aggressive player, the day I met him, I thought this guys will go far."

Quinton de Kock is the Man of the Match. He says, "It's very satisfying. During tough times, people hate you, so in times like these, you have to enjoy yourselves. I was not so happy to take Dhoni's catch because at that stage, we were looking to get to the 20 over mark and I thought we didn't need a wicket then. "

What an annihilation this has been! 141-run loss followed by 134-run humiliation. The South African bowlers maintained their menacing intensity on a pitch that had half the venom of Jo'Burg. Defending a decent 280, they again terrorised the Indian top order to leave them in tatters within the first 10 overs. From then on, it was just a matter of time and they complete a series win with a game to play. Excellent batting by Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock, who gave South Africa another strong start, and both got their respective hundreds. They might not have been happy with the final total, but their bowlers made it look like a mountain. Dale Steyn nipped out Dhawan early, then softened up Kohli and all the fast bowlers feasted...

yogi d: "35.1 overs where SA lost their first wicket, at the same point India lost their 10th, that tells the story"

Sandeep: "Someone was attributing India's poor performance to the lack of match practices in SA and the grueling schedule etc. PAK went to SA after playing back to back matches in UAE and even with not much time to adjust to the new conditions, they performed much better! There is no excuse for getting exposed for our weaknesses!"

Rohail: "This series win is equally important for the South African cricket board. After all the arrogance, the bullying, months of schedule changing and dictation by the BCCI, their team still gets hammered and brought back to reality. Hope SA hammer all the nails in the coffin and win in all formats."

and more sounds of leather on timber! The series has been wrapped with a slower ball that hits the off stump as the batsman looks to swing it away

and this one beats the bat and somehow beats the middle stump too! Just bounces over

Oatile: "Lets assume SA declared after losing the first wicket, then does India stand a chance of winning?"

Tsotsobe to Jadeja, OUT

AB you beauty! Jadeja gets a length delivery to which he throws his bat, he wanted to hit the sight screen, but this goes high and straight. AB de Villiers, however, lines himself up coming in from long on and leaps in the air to pick this one right on the edge. Wonderful judgment there from the SA captain
