Well there you have it. South Africa hold on to the six-run victory and end the series 2-0. Pakistan now have to regroup, in a very short amount of time, and head over to South Africa for the return series, which is set to kick off from November 20. Hope you all enjoyed today's match and ESPNcricinfo's coverage of the match. Till then, its Rohan Sharma, on behalf of Venkat Raghav, bidding you a good night. Ta ta!

Faf du Plessis, South Africa captain and Man of the Match: It's a great achievement by the team. We played really well under pressure. We said we wanted to come here and 2-0 and we did that. There were times when Pakistan played really well and came back into the game. Our bowlers and fielders performed well. As a bowling unit we have certainly grown a lot over the last couple of months. Credit to them for the time and effort they have put into it. There is always room for improvement. We are not the finished article, but we are on our way. Nice to be back in SA and looking forward to another series against Pakistan. We will try to beat them again 2-0.

Official Man of the Series: Faf du Plessis

Official Man of the Match: is Faf du Plessis

Maximum boundaries award: Quinton de Kock (SA)

Outstanding performance award: Imran Tahir (SA)

Highest scorer award: Faf du Plessis (SA)

Player of the match: Quinton de Kock (catch that dismissed Sohaib Maqsood)

Best performer of series: Quinton de Kock (SA)

Best bowler of match: Wayne Parnell (SA)

Mohammad Hafeez, Pakistan captain: I think this is the sequence of the series. Not finishing games very well. When we needed to play normal cricket, we didn't handle the pressure. Credit goes to SA for bowling in the right areas. Every time we thought we were there, we couldn't finish it. The middle and lower order are not doing the job that is required. Finishing is required in this team. Whatever the requirement of the team we have to do accordingly. There are some positives: Masqood, Shehzad and Nasir. Every individual has to lift themselves up for the team. I think Irfan is doubtful (for return series in SA) and I think he is struggling at the moment.

And that's that. South Africa just hold on to win this encounter by 6 runs to complete a series sweep, on the back of their 4-1 performance in the one-dayers before. Pakistan will feel disappointed at how they chased the total. For some time, it seemed as if they would stroll to the target as they took the required necessary risks, and ran between the wickets with intelligence. However, when it got closer to the crunch, as before, they were unable to hold their nerve, and succumbed under the pressure. South Africa now move to No. 2 on the T20I rankings, still behind Sri Lanka. This was one of the better opportunities for Pakistan to register a win, which they failed to do so. Maqsood was the standout performer with his 37. Stay tuned for the match presentation.

Parnell to Irfan, no run

right on middle and leg and Irfan is unable to do the deed. Just plays this back towards mid-off, who intercepts the ball gleefully

19.5
1
Parnell to Ajmal, 1 run

really low full toss heading towards outside off as Ajmal squirts this to the off side behind square. They run the single making the equation 7 off 1. Irfan needs a six or bust

8 from 2. Can Ajmal hit consecutive boundaries?

19.4
Parnell to Ajmal, no run

bang on middle as Ajmal tries in vain to get under this and make something of it

Azad.sust: "Now Ajmal have to do something."

19.3
1
Parnell to Irfan, 1 run

in the blockhole once more as Irfan clears his front leg to try and hammer this over the long-off boundary, but doesn't get the ball as far as it lands somewhere in between. Still struggling to get to the other end

19.2
Parnell to Irfan, no run

straight up in the blockhole and Irfan does well to keep it out. The nerves are very apparent across the crowd. 9 off 4. Dramatic stuff!

Steyn to Irfan, 1 run

back of a length ball which Irfan tries to get out of the way, with the ball popping off the face behind square on the off side. Really struggling as he gets down to the other end. Not looking good for the big lad

Steyn to Afridi, OUT

nice and full and Afridi gets under it comfortably to hit these cleanly and sweetly... right into the hands of Faf du Plessis at mid-off. The crowd erupt then go flat when they realise what has just transpired, and all of a sudden the game hinges on this final wicket. Remember, Irfan is battling a hip discomfort/injury so should be interesting to see what the seven-footer has in store
