much celebrations in the dressing room, Waugh grabbing the stumps, security not grabbing him like they did the plebs, an absolutely comprehensive defeat for Pakistan in the most one sided World Cup final ever

brilliant comeback for Australia, virtually everyone wrote them off after the defeat against Pakistan in the preliminary games, but then when Waugh said "we'll win 7 in a row now", there was much scoffing to be had

crowd have filled the ground, many Australia flags are being waved, some inflatable kangaroos are seeing the light of day for the first time. Stay tuned for the presentations.....

Presentations: umpires giving medals, Wasim collects a cheque: "we got beaten by a better side... i'd like to thank the support.. all credit to Steve Waugh and his side... the satisfaction to me was the youngsters did very well..."

now each of the Pakistani players get a medal, to the tune of loud whistling and booing, I dare say it's coming from the "support" Wasim spoke so highly about

Man of the match: Shane Warne, the man we were led to believe is played so way by Pakistan: "...wanted to make amends for the last WC final... last couple of matches, the ball did something... "there were a couple of times I tried things and it worked"

Man of the tournament, who gets a shiny brom brom to drive is Lance Klusener, he still looks pretty shell shocked. And now the Australians get their little medals, even Shane Lee gets one.

some of the more sponsor conscious Australians have the "Fly Emirates" hat on. Other renegades with the green and gold hat on will no doubt be going home by boat.

Waugh: "great performance by the boys.... really was a great team effort (repeat until fade)"

Waugh lofts the trophy and gets a huge cheer, all the Australians have their arms raised and fists clenched. Now Dalmiya gets in a few of his characteristic words.

Each of the Australians take turns in raising the trophy and getting a cheer, meanwhile Dalmiya continues in the background. Now the Australia pose on the balcony for a few happy snaps.

and so that concludes the CricInfo coverage of the World Cup. You can send your feedback on the commentary to travis@cricket.org - there'll be a prize for the most well written, and also one for the best handwriting.

Stay tuned for other exciting series and tournaments coming up. Then there's also the Eng v NZ series. Toodles.
