100.1 to SCJ Broad, nicked to the keeper, the partnership is ended two short of fifty! Or is it? Broad doesn't walk, naturally, and has a wee conflab with Swann before deciding to review. This looks a bit hopeful, as there was a clear deviation on the way through... Though replays show it hit the flap of the pad, too. Hot Spot picks up a faint edge, though, so any more Broad controversy is quickly put to bed. England are all out for 361, less than they will have wanted but buoyed by another last-man stand of decent proportions. 361/10
2667252.7612310000
5.2 to JE Root, full and straight, Root slapped on the front pad, is this going down? No! It's given out! Very well bowled, Root has reviewed it though, is it squeezing down leg? Actually scrap that, there's a huge edge but was it pad first? Root may have squeezed this onto the pad. It was given out remember, the third umpire is having a long look at the replays. Tony Hill is the TV umpire. Yes pad first, Hawk Eye has it hitting leg stump and Root is gone! Australia have a double strike and England lose a review. It was marginal but a fair enough call. 26/2
5.6 to KP Pietersen, full length just outside off, Pietersen forward, thin edge and caught behind! Harris has another! What a selection and what a start for Australia. Pietersen always vulnerable against the new ball and has nicked off here, a thin edge as the ball just shaped up the hill, superb bowling. 28/3
33.5 to IJL Trott, short ball, Trott pulls and gets it all wrong, there's a man at deep square leg and he takes a comfortable catch. Trott suckered in and gets a top edge on a pull stroke and from serene progress, England are back in trouble, Trott has given it away, he just hurried a little, tried to paddle it and put it a long way up in the air. 127/4
89.1 to TT Bresnan, length ball, hint of movement away and Bresnan nicks off to the first ball of the morning! The perfect start for Australia, a probing line from Harris - better men have been seduced into playing at those than Bresnan. In the channel, just outside off and holding its line, Bresnan could only nudge it into the keeper's gloves. 289/8
93.3 to JM Anderson, got him this time and Harris has a five-for at Lord's! Another healthy edge from Anderson, length ball pushed across and clipping the bat on its way through to Haddin at a comfortable height. Worth his weight on the honours board, is Ryan. 313/9
1344513.46628000
4.2 to AN Cook, full ball, swings in, Cook wrapped on the front pad, umpire Erasmus has a long look before raising the finger what a change of bowling. Cook caught on the knee roll in front of middle, Cook doesn't review because it looks stone dead. Very nicely bowled, great length, Cook drawn forward and got beaten by a bit of movement down the slope. 18/1

76.6 to IR Bell, he's done it! Clarke's captaincy brings another wicket. It's a perfectly-pitched leg break which grips a fraction, finds the edge and carries low to Clarke at slip. What a bonus for Australia. 271/5
80.1 to JM Bairstow, and another! It's a full toss. Bairstow has just bunted it back to Smith. Christmas time for Smith and Australia. An awfully lazy dismissal from Bairstow, who drove a fraction early and Smith collected a low chance in his follow through. 274/6
84.3 to MJ Prior, he's got three! What a spell for Australia. This one skidded through outside off, perhaps an attempted flipper, Prior went for the cut and gets a healthy top edge to Haddin. 283/7

44.4 to PM Siddle, he fishes and is caught at second slip, Siddle goes! That was a real tailender's shot, the ball might have held its line a touch but Siddy tamely steered it low to Swann off the open face. So now Anderson is amongst them too - and, in fairness to Siddle, it was the old disguised reverse swinger, which Anderson deploys so expertly these days. 104/8
1132612.36564010
30.6 to MJ Clarke, Broad has got the huge wicket of Clarke! Massive! That's a fine delivery, not quite yorker-length but almost, and straight - Clarke plays the wrong line and that's struck him on the pad, the umpire gives it lbw. Australia have no reviews left but it's of no consequence - there was no inside edge and that was dead in front.. 91/6
712824.00313000
12.4 to SR Watson, Bresnan strikes! He has Watson lbw in the last over before lunch! Great ball, angled in and Watson moved across with the front pad and missed the ball, he's rapped right in front and Dharmasena gives it lbw. Watson chats for a while with Rogers and eventually makes the decision to review it. It's a poor decision because that was plumb. That's not how to use the review system. 42/1
18.6 to PJ Hughes, Hughes throws his hands at a wide one, very loose shot from a new batsman, there's a limp sort of appeal, particularly from Bresnan but it's immediately upheld by Dharmasena! Hughes reviews without hesitation, so he must be pretty confident he didn't hit it... So, let's see if there's evidence to overturn the decision. Hot Spot is pretty inconclusive, maybe a faint mark, there was a sound on the audio and Tony Hill decides there's not enough proof to overrule Dharmasena to the decision stands - Australia have lost 3 for 11!. 53/3
21.354452.041024000
15.2 to CJL Rogers, what on earth has happened here? He's missed a full toss and been hit in front ... Erasmus raises a finger and England have another, though both batsman and bowler are shaking their heads! This is like the tactic of bowling a slow full toss on Brian Lara Cricket, though there was no intent on Swann's part. The ball slipped out of the hand and Rogers was slow to sight it, missed swinging across the line and got hit on the box, I think... in front of middle and leg, though Rogers was probably anxious not to lose the second review. Hawk-Eye shows, however, that it would have missed leg stump! This is a rum old dismissal on many levels. 50/2
23.5 to UT Khawaja, Khawaja on the charge, he's hit this over the top... except it doesn't go over, it merely loops high off the toe and into the hands of KP at mid-off! He hasn't looked comfortable against Swann, surviving a drop at slip and defending somewhat anxiously in front of his pad, obviously decided he didn't want to die in a hole - so he perished in no-man's land instead. 69/4
29.5 to SPD Smith, Smith is gone! Swann gets some extra bounce and that does for Smith, it lobs off his gloves and is snapped up by short leg! That was a pretty sharp take as well from Ian Bell, he had to go low to the ground. 86/5
45.4 to BJ Haddin, goes for the big mow over midwicket but he's edged to slip! Trott clings on gleefully to this chance and Haddin departs after a tortuous 42-ball knock, trying to go on the attack again, heaving across the line and the ball popping off the top edge down near the toe. 104/9
53.3 to RJ Harris, Harris goes on the attack and Khawajas it to mid-on, Pietersen taking an excellent running catch from over this shoulder. The ball came off the toe of the bat, with Harris looking to hit down the ground - but it's Australia who have been left on their Harris, bowled out for 128, a deficit of 233. 128/10

112.4 to JM Bairstow, edged and caught behind...back of a length again, Bairstow goes to play it square and gets a top edge to the keeper. 344/6
114.1 to JE Root, no double for Root! He falls in the cause, trying to scoop this length ball over the the keeper or fine-leg, instead it flies down to third man who takes a good catch. And straight away England declare. 349/7
1252502.08613000
2166533.099911000
10.2 to AN Cook, gone! Something for Australia. Cook drags into his stumps. A length ball around off stump, he tried to force it off the back foot and it came off a thick inside edge. 22/1
12.2 to IJL Trott, and another! Well, well...the wickets keep tumbling. A length ball, Trott a little in two minds and doesn't get forward or back, the ball deflects off the inside edge into the stumps. 22/2
14.5 to KP Pietersen, oh boy! Now it's three. Another twist in this series? That was a pretty awful few minutes for Pietersen. Siddle suckers him in with a wide delivery and drives on the up to point with no footwork. Reaching well away from his body. 30/3
2084212.10996000
61.3 to TT Bresnan, the stand is broken, another short ball from Pattinson and Bresnan plays a flat-bat pull which goes straight to the man in front of square. 129/4
1406514.64474200
98.2 to IR Bell, short and pulled very hard, oh no, he finds midwicket what a stinking piece of cricket, terrible delivery, Bell struck it away quite nicely but picked out the fielder perfectly. Smith gains another wicket with a poor ball, full toss in the first innings and now a long hop. 282/5

6.4 to SR Watson, big appeal and gone! It's lbw and will he review? Not this time he won't. It looked very straight. Nipped back a fraction from just outside off and struck him dead in line. Really, Watson couldn't have dared review that one. Lovely bowling, again, from Anderson. 24/1
76.1 to PM Siddle, bowled him, sneaked through and England are on the brink! Siddle didn't get his bat down in time, the ball slightly full of a length and nipping back, batsman probably should have been forward but there was a healthy amount of reverse on the ball and off stump left its mooring. 192/9
2145402.57995000
30.357842.551397000
9.5 to CJL Rogers, bowled him! Rogers has left a straighter ball alone and had his off stump knocked back! Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Swann had been turning it outside off and Rogers expected the same of this ball, but instead it went straight on, or at most just straightened back a tiny fraction, and hit off stump. Lovely bowling.. 32/2
15.3 to PJ Hughes, this one is lbw though! Will he review it? Yes he does, but it doesn't save him, and Phil Hughes is gone! Hughes leaned forward to defend but the ball went on instead of turning back as far as he expected. Dharmasena gave it out, and HawkEye indicated "umpire's call" for hitting leg stump - it looked pretty much out to the naked eye.. 36/3
61.6 to BJ Haddin, but he's struck now! Haddin pads this away and is given lbw. He completely misjudged the line, it pitched on the stumps from round the wicket and Dharmasena decided it wasn't turning enough to miss the stumps. Australia had no reviews left. 162/8
90.3 to JL Pattinson, another big offbreak, beats Pattinson and hits the back pad before deflecting into the hands of Matt Prior, England all go up in unison and the umpire gives it! Not sure initially if it was lbw or a nick to the keeper but it's out either way... replays prove it was the former and England have won by 347 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the series!. 235/10
1483022.14735010
50.5 to SPD Smith, Smith is gone! Caught behind! He quickly asks for a review of Marais Erasmus' decision, indicating that he must have genuinely thought he had not edged that. However, Hot Spot shows there is indeed a little nick on the inside edge of the bat! Just a faint one, but a clear one all the same, and Smith is indeed gone. Bresnan has got him with the scrambled-seam delivery.. 136/6
54.5 to AC Agar, is it an edge? Huge appeal. England review. Full outside off, Agar went for the drive, the appeal came straight away but Erasmus said not out. Cook reviewed instantly. Nothing on Hot Spot this time. Think he'll survive here. No! He's been given! Oh goodness. Agar can't believe it. It won't change the course of the game, but another umpire talking point. Apparently the third umpire said there was a clear deflection and a noise. Not sure that was conclusive evidence?. 154/7
73921.28371000
47.2 to MJ Clarke, and leg slip has done the trick! Oh, what a wicket for the part-timer Joe Root! Leg slip had only just come in and Root, around the wicket, pitched it outside leg and turning further away, Clarke tried to glance it away and it's run off the face of the bat to Cook at leg slip.. 134/4
49.6 to UT Khawaja, this one is an edge though! Root has struck this time! Beautiful ball that drifts in to off stump and turns, Khawaja gets a thick edge that is snapped up by second slip, or gully, or whatever you like to call it to a spinner, and Root continues to have an enormous impact on this match!. 135/5
