4.3 to RT Ponting, they have got the big one! the old problem returns to haunt Ponting, the front foot was planted a mile across, he had to work a lot to get the bat in front of pad, was late in doing that, by that time the length ball had crashed into the front pad after moving in, would that have gone down leg, the umpire does not think so, replays show it would have just clipped leg stump. 26/2
27.4 to DJ Hussey, Malinga has broken the stand, leading edge dying on short extra cover, Thirimanne does well to react quickly, goes down to his left to take the catch, David Hussey was looking to turn the length ball on leg. 130/5
1003923.90343000
3.1 to MS Wade, Kula strikes and removes Wade, with Malinga v Warner grabbing all the attention at the other end, gets it to lift and move away from just short of a length, Wade pushes with an angled bat and Sanga takes a neat catch low to his left. 22/1
17.6 to MEK Hussey, Sri Lanka have bettered their brilliance in the field, Kula ups the standards with a leaping blinder, Hussey pushed half-heartedly at a pitched up delivery, it popped in the air down the pitch to Kula's right, the bowler recovered from his followthrough to leap at the ball one-handed and did not let go of it as he landed back on earth. 81/4
903724.11323010
8.5 to DA Warner, Angelo has done what Malinga could not, he has gone through Warner and rattled his stumps, excellent line, angled across the left-hander on a good length, and then nipped back in to sneak in between bat and pad, hit off and middle, Warner was playing the original angle and was done in by the movement, seems that he got an inside edge. 50/3
40.4 to MJ Clarke, gone! with more than nine overs to go, Mahela takes out Clarke who is furious at getting out, he worked this length ball in the air from middle and Mahela went low to his right quickly to take the catch at midwicket. 190/7
9.105526.00329000
47.6 to MA Starc, taken at long off! Starc tries to clobber the length ball down the ground, ends up slicing it in front of long off, the fielder comes in, misjudges the take initially, but does well to tumble forward and grab it in the end. 224/9
49.1 to CJ McKay, outstanding catch in the deep ends the innings, McKay had backed away, Prasad angled the short ball in, McKay smoked it off the middle of the bat, it seemed headed for six over deep midwicket but Thirimanne came screaming in to his left, and reached out with both hands to pouch the ball just as it was about to sail over the rope, he did well to pull his left hand away from the boundary as he fell down. 231/10
1004524.50373200
39.4 to DT Christian, down the track to the flighted delivery, misses the heave as this one does not turn in, Sanga does not miss the take even as the ball bounces, he hops in the air as he collects and the bails are off. 186/6
41.5 to RJ Harris, Australia continue to lose wickets, the top spinner bounces a lot outside off stump, and Harris cuts it straight to backward point. 192/8

20.5 to TM Dilshan, this time he gets Dilshan, off the inside edge, came in with the angle from back of a length, hurries past Dilshan's straight push through to Wade. 88/3
9.505025.08344120
3.3 to WU Tharanga, that has been helped straight to Clarke at first slip, Starc strikes early, good delivery, angled in on a good length on off, moving away appreciably, Tharanga is caught on the crease and dabs it high to first slip. 11/1
49.5 to AD Mathews, but he has holed out, oh dear, heartbreak for Angelo and Sri Lanka, Australia and Starc can breathe now, makes room for the short ball, winds up and has a crack at it, but can only spoon it in the air as far as long on, Australia get together, they will be a relieved lot. 226/10
1005015.00273020
44.2 to SL Malinga, Wade has his fifth dismissal of the innings, Malinga slogged at a back-of-the-hand slower one from McKay, it flew vertically in the air over Wade who settled under it and judged it well. 180/9
814725.87215010
26.1 to DPMD Jayawardene, oh dear, Mahela has dabbed this one straight to Wade, bouncing as it is angled in from short of a length, he stays in the crease and looks to run it late to third man, ends up guiding it tamely to the keeper. 110/4
34.1 to KMDN Kulasekara, Wade dives and pulls off another catch, very wide delivery and moving further away, Kula goes after it, the edge was dying in front of slip, Wade goes for it, he has excellent reach for a not-so-tall man, replays show it would actually have carried low to slip. 143/7
1002422.40370000
27.4 to HDRL Thirimanne, whoa, where did that come from? Doherty has spun one in from outside off to take leg stump! tossed it up, drew him forward, the ball turned in a long way from the rough to sneak in through the gate to clip leg, Doherty is delighted. 119/5
41.6 to SMSM Senanayake, Doherty breaks the partnership, he has been so difficult to get away today, Senanayake charged out and had a heave, the ball sneaked past and Wade completes the simple stumping. 175/8
20914.5050000
30.1 to LD Chandimal, oh boy, he's struck first ball, the Australia captain, angled in on a length, carrying in towards leg stump, Chandimal gets across in the crease, misses the work on leg, and is struck in front, looked to be hitting leg, will have to see replays, which show that it would have just shaved the top of leg stump. 129/6
