2.6 to TM Dilshan, but the bonus ball works! Anderson produces a gorgeous nip-backer that takes the inside edge to Buttler who holds a solid catch going to his left. Dilshan stuck in the crease, poked forward, the seam movement took his inside edge and he walked off, a third early strike in three matches for Anderson. 4/1
4.5 to HDRL Thirimanne, well, a step down the wicket, Anderson sees him coming and drops his length, Thirimanne goes through with the stroke aiming over cover but just nicks it to Buttler. Not the best choice of stroke it must be said. Came down the track too soon really and then didn't have the nous to pull out of the stroke. A little unlucky not to get more bat on that and send it over the slips but, you make your own luck!. 13/2

11.2 to KC Sangakkara, full length angled across the off stump, a big drive and this time it's edged to the keeper. That's the length that's needed in these conditions and Jordan has found it there, luring Sangakkara out to cover drive a little too loosely and he nicks off, thick edge to Buttler's left at waist height. 32/3
15.4 to LD Chandimal, full and wide and Chandimal leans out greedily to drive at it and slaps it to cover where Ian Bell takes a sharp low catch, well held that. Chandimal was perhaps frustrated by the dots and took the chance to swing his arms, he struck it very firmly but straight to the fielder. 45/4
19.3 to AD Mathews, pitched up and Mathews is beaten on the drive, the umpire gives it... but, after a few moments of quizzical blinking, Mathews calls for the review. There was a thin sound on the replay, England all went up in unison; can't see what else it would have been, as Mathews was playing away from his body, bat above the ground as the ball went past... And Real-Time Snicko has picked up a sliver of audio, so the decision is upheld and Sri Lanka's captain trudges off. 60/6
21.6 to KMDN Kulasekara, back of a length, Kulasekara jabs at it and steers to second slip, Sri Lanka are eight down! England ripping through, that's four for Jordan, too quick and a bit of extra venom from a shortish ball. 65/8
23.6 to SL Malinga, pitched up, this stays a little low and clips Malinga on the back pad, in front of leg stump and that's good enough for Michael Gough, who raises the finger and drops the curtain on the Sri Lanka innings! Jordan gets his five-for, the first by an England bowler at Old Trafford. 67/10

18.1 to DPMD Jayawardene, on line first up, Jayawardene plays around the delivery... and he's gone! Tredwell removes the last of Sri Lanka's senior triumvirate with his first ball, Jayawardene got himself in a bit of a muddle and was stuck heavy-footed in front of off stump, missed the ball trying to work across the line. 58/5
22.1 to SMSM Senanayake, tossed up, Senanayake goes after his first ball and clumps this down the ground, only for long-on to take a excellent running catch! Chris Woakes was the fielder, did really well to hang on, Senanayake didn't get quite enough of it and SL have lost three for none in four balls!. 65/9
