13.3 to DAJ Bracewell, what a delivery! And what a way to get your 300th Test wicket. Pitches on middle and hits off. The fast bowler's dream. Bracewell didn't help by playing to leg but it was a crackerjack ball.. 31/7
19.2 to DR Flynn, all over! 45 all out. Banged in short, Flynn goes for the pull and gets a top edge which Steyn settles underneath from his follow through. 45/10
63751.16321000
1.6 to MJ Guptill, gone! There's the first one. It's been a lovely start from Philander. Pitches on off stump, shapes away a hint, Guptill plays the original line and gets a thin outside edge. 7/1
5.3 to BB McCullum, cleaned up! But there are a few clouds looming for New Zealand. This was just a good length delivery really, although perhaps it nipped back a touch and McCullum gets an inside edge before the ball crashes into middle stump.. 14/2
5.6 to DG Brownlie, make that 14 for 3! Philander running riot at the moment. Gets a delivery to bounce just outside off stump and Brownlie feels for it with a rather limp shot which results in a gentle edge that loops to Smith at first slip. 14/3
7.6 to KS Williamson, has he got another?! Yes, he has. Number four. The umpire gave him lbw but Williamson opted to review. There was no inside, what about the height? Nothing on Hotspot and it's clipping the top of middle. That's out.. 27/4
9.1 to BJ Watling, Oh boy, oh boy! That's unplayable. A peach of a delivery snakes away from Watling who had to play and another edge goes behind the wicket. He couldn't do much about that. Just too good. Mesmeric stuff from Philander. 27/5
621432.33312001
10.5 to JEC Franklin, oh goodness, the game of skittles continues. Morkel gets one straighter and fuller, it's all he had to do, and Franklin drives meekly outside off to give another edge through to Smith. Tame stuff.. 28/6
16.4 to JS Patel, what a catch! Patel didn't look like lasting long and he's fallen in spectacular fashion. Patel gave himself room to drive a full delivery, connected cleanly but struck it within reach of Amla at a close mid-off and he flung himself full length to his left to take a stunning grab. 38/8
18.3 to TA Boult, predictable end...short-of-a-length ball and Boult stepped away to leg to try and carve it over the off side but only gets a top edge to de Villiers. A dark day for New Zealand. 45/9

Fall of wickets: 1-1 (Graeme Smith, 1.1 ov), 2-108 (Hashim Amla, 25.2 ov), 3-212 (Jacques Kallis, 51.3 ov), 4-255 (Alviro Petersen, 65.1 ov), 5-281 (Faf du Plessis, 73.2 ov), 6-335 (Dean Elgar, 89.2 ov), 7-342 (AB de Villiers, 93.6 ov), 8-347 (Robin Peterson, 95.2 ov)
BOWLINGOMRWECON0s4s6sWDNB

51.3 to JH Kallis, almost out of nowhere! Boult strikes in his first over back with a full delivery, going across Kallis who went for the drive to a ball that wasn't quite there and gets a healthy edge to the keeper. 212/3
65.1 to AN Petersen, gone! And he strikes first ball. It's on off stump, nips back a little, Petersen is tentatively pushing forward and gets an inside edge into the timber. 255/4
89.2 to D Elgar, a strike shortly before lunch, another one with extra bounce outside off stump and it brushes Elgar's outside edge...a good delivery, although maybe Elgar didn't have to play. He's been uncertain outside off for most of his stay. 335/6
2449313.8710614000
1.1 to GC Smith, gone! A crazy session continues. Smith is plumb. The way he's fallen many times before, shuffling across the crease, the ball swings back into him and that was hitting middle. 1/1
19.246333.25846011
73.2 to F du Plessis, he's struck. Phantom power. A very good delivery, full on off stump, nips away from du Plessis who is pushing down the line with hard hands and the outside edge flies to gully where a good, low, catch is held. 281/5
93.6 to AB de Villiers, pays the price for walking around the crease, goes outside off stump to a straight delivery and misses his flick...middle stump gets struck. de Villiers had been a little skittish since lunch. 342/7
95.2 to RJ Peterson, cleaned up. Peterson going for a repeat dose, the ball is full on middle, and he misses. 347/8
1415013.57534000
25.2 to HM Amla, blimey, he's out. Amla's tactic of walking across his stumps proves his downfall as he misses a full delivery which was homing in on middle stump. In fact, think it struck his back boot. 108/2

0.6 to MJ Guptill, gone! Would you believe it. The worst ball of the over gets the wicket. Was on leg stump and Guptill clipped it straight to midwicket. It did straighten a fraction on him, but not a good way for an opener to fall. 0/1
99.4 to JS Patel, that is that...not actually with the full and straight one, but it was fuller than before. Patel backing away to leg gets a bottom edge into leg stump. 265/8
101.6 to JEC Franklin, dragged on! Steyn enjoyed that. More of a celebration this time. It's another short one at the body. Franklin tried a repeat of the previous shot but it comes off the gloves and lobs onto the top of the stumps. 274/9
2487623.1611312010
92.5 to BJ Watling, gone! Watling's resistance is over. The ideal delivery just outside off stump, shapes away from Watling who pushes with hard hands and the edge travels comfortably to first slip. 252/6
94.4 to DAJ Bracewell, that was on the cards! Philander really in a groove now. Pitches on middle, squares up Bracewell and takes an edge that flies at stomach-height to Petersen at third slip. This time he just about holds on. 252/7
2165012.381035010
80.5 to DG Brownlie, oh my goodness! What's he done?! Short and wide outside off, Brownlie doesn't even try to keep his cut shot down and couldn't have picked out deep point any more precisely. Did he see him out there? Perhaps done by a touch more bounce. Again, a wicket falls shortly before a break.. 229/5
11.133122.77555010
17.4 to KS Williamson, what a poor shot! A very wide delivery and Williamson has a flap at it - trying to drive off the back foot - sending a regulation catch to second slip where Petersen, standing in for Kallis, takes it in front of his face. That was miles away from his body, a woeful way to give it away for a No. 3 batsman. 29/2
43.6 to DR Flynn, gone! He's done it again. What a priceless cricketer. The change of line did the trick and there was a touch more bounce. Flynn played forward got an inside edge that was very well caught by de Villiers diving to his right. 155/4
1664212.62814200
31.1 to BB McCullum, gone! Spin has broken through, but McCullum reviews. It slid on with the arm and struck him in line low on the pad. Looks very good. And it's hitting leg stump full on. He's out.. 118/3
