A gentle giant, Elmore Hutchinson is a soft-spoken character off the field but a menacing left-handed fast bowler on it. Standing at a height of 6' 6" and with lanky arms to go with it, Hutchinson looms large on his approach to the crease. Though not exceptionally quick, he produces decent swing and can also extract considerable bounce thanks to his frame.

Originally from Jamaica, Hutchinson moved to Los Angeles in his 20s and plays in the highly competitive Division One of the Southern California Cricket Association where, in addition to being a leading wicket-taker, he has scored multiple centuries too. At the international level, he is perhaps not quite an allrounder but definitely more than a tailender. His batting skills are good enough that he was sometimes used by former USA coach Robin Singh as a pinch-hitter at No. 3 in Twenty20 tournaments thanks to his ability to strike the ball deep over the rope.
