26.6 to Kamran Akmal, What is happening out there? Pakistan continue to implode. It was another lifting delivery, this time Martin got it to straighten outside off stump, and Akmal shaped to pull but tried to withdraw his bat at the last minute. Too late. The ball popped up at cover point. Simple catch and Pakistan have lost their 6th wicket. Bizarre morning continues.. 90/6
1746213.64779100
3.4 to Salman Butt, The middle stump has been knocked out. Full in length, lands on the middle and off line, shapes in a bit, Butt tries to work it through the on side but misses it completely. Clatter.. 14/1
1553542.33773102
10.5 to Faisal Iqbal, O'Brien strikes in his first over! a 138kmh short ball, rises sharply, Iqbal looks to defend, gets it on the splice of the bat and lobs towards Guptill at gully. 39/2
14.6 to Mohammad Yousuf, O'Brien has got Yousuf for a duck, massive breakthrough, Yousuf looks to slash a back of length ball outside off, away from the body, outside edges it to the left of second slip, where McIntosh latches onto it. 43/3
18.2 to Umar Akmal, O'Brien, why are you leaving? short ball gets Umar Akmal this time, short ball 144kmh, Akmal prods at it and gives catching practice to Guptill at gully, another duck, 4.2-4-3-3 are O'Brien's figures, a dream spell. 51/4
18.6 to Misbah-ul-Haq, O'Brien saves his best spell for his last Test, a short of length ball that straightened, Misbah feathers a regulation catch to McCullum. 51/5
15.345243.357510002
50.4 to Mohammad Amir, there's the breakthrough New Zealand were looking for, Aamer again fishes outside off, gets the nick to the keeper this time, Tuffey has been probing away in this spell, credit to Aamer as well, he's done a decent job here. 159/7
60.3 to Umar Gul, this time Tuffey strikes, just outside off, Gul hangs his bat out at it, feathers it to the keeper, Kamran 22, Aamer 23, Gul 24, anyone spot a pattern there?. 194/8
60.4 to Mohammad Asif, Asif doesn't extend that sequence, he's gone first ball, Tuffey's on a hat-trick, he gets the ball to angle across Asif who pokes it through to the keeper. 194/9
64.3 to Danish Kaneria, Tuffey ends the hit-and-giggle, Farhat carries his bat, a length ball just outside off, gets the outside edge for McCullum to pocket his fifth catch. 223/10

26.1 to BJ Watling, Asif gets the wicket! shortish ball, wide outside off, not really a wicket-taking delivery, Watling smashes it straight to Umar Akmal at backward point, no century stand for New Zealand. 60/1
122.4 to DL Vettori, Unbelievable catch! Umar Amkal's the man and he's taken a beauty to end a brilliant innings, full outside off, Vettori drives it firmly and uppishly wide of Umar at extra cover, he flings himself to his left and snaps it one-handed. 408/7
33511413.4513915003
98.1 to BB McCullum, Mccullum isn't going to get a century, Gul slips in the bouncer, cramps up McCullum, who can only spoon it to gully, superb innings from McCullum comes to an end, he's massively disappointed. 321/6
531016873.1621811300
41.1 to MJ Guptill, Kaneria strikes, wrong 'un does the job, pitching just outside off, hits him on the knee roll of the front pad, in front of middle and off, no doubt about that one. 82/2
53.2 to LRPL Taylor, Kaneria gets Taylor, good catch from Yousuf, Taylor slog-sweeps against the turn, that was a very full delivery as well, gets a top edge which swirls towards backward square leg, Yousuf does well to chase and take it with his back to the stumps. 118/3
61.4 to TG McIntosh, Kaneria has struck again, McIntosh's resistance ends, another sweep attempted, gets an edge which pops up, Kamran Akmal moves to his right and collects that one, end of a career-saving knock?. 136/4
63.5 to DR Flynn, review time, the googly has Flynn confounded, did he get beaten or did he get an edge to the keeper, Kamran Akmal is absolutely certain, he called for the review immediately after the umpire turned it down, plenty of replays, there's a sound as it passes the bat, but HotSpot shows nothing, the Taufel overturns the on-field umpire's decision, Flynn has to go, am not sure on what evidence though, sure to add to the growing list of decision-review system controversies, Flynn had started to walk off as soon as the review was called for, perhaps knowing he had edged it, then paused to wait for the umpire's verdict. 145/5
123.2 to TG Southee, the googly, gets a big stride forward and doesn't pick it, lands on a good length on the off, turns in and strikes him high on the pads, appeared to be out on first glance, Doctrove gives it out, Southee disagrees and calls for a review, height was a bit of an issue but it would have probably gone on to hit the top of middle and leg, fair call and the decision is upheld. 409/8
138.2 to IE O'Brien, Kaneria picks up wicket no 6. It was a flighted delivery that beat the batsman in flight and then by the turn. I lured O'Brien forward and he ended up dragging his back foot on the line and as he tried to push it back, he lifted it momentarily in the air just as Akmal broke the stumps. Enter Chris 'Phantom' Martin to try help Tuffey get to a hundred. Oh well!. 471/9
138.6 to CS Martin, Yet another duck for the man they call the Phantom. It was the slider that crept in towards the middle stump. Martin was clueless of course, had his bat way outside the line and tried to get it back in line but too late. Tuffey has been stranded on a fine 80. Duck no 28 for Martin. What a legend.. 471/10

114.5 to Faisal Iqbal, Taylor latches onto this one, Iqbal again forgets his footwork as he prods at a back of length delivery, gets the edge to first slip. 274/3
3186422.061526001
163.5 to Umar Akmal, Umar Akaml is gone! no footwork at all from him as he looks to chop a short ball outside off, only manages to feather it through to the keeper, off the top edge. 397/6
189.4 to Danish Kaneria, got him this time, short ball does the job, Kaneria goes for the pull, top-edges it and it swirls towards McCullum, who gets his ninth dismissal of the match, a New Zealand record. 449/9
40610822.7018714001
134.4 to Mohammad Yousuf, O'Brien gets a massive breakthrough, a back of length ball just outside off, Yousuf fends at it, gets an outside edge to the keeper, Yousuf has walked, the umpire Rudi Koertzen started lifting his finger on appeal but only to scratch his chin. 333/4
181.6 to Umar Gul, Iain O'Brien, playing in his last Test match, strikes. And he is not fit. He goes down on his knees after taking this wicket. Clearly some problem there but no issue whatsover with the dismissal. It was a length delivery that cut back in, collided with the inside-edge and went low to right of short-leg where Flynn took a fine catch, lunging to take it inches off the turf.. This chameleon game gets even more interesting. 423/8
2126102.90926101
56259321.662897400
152.6 to Misbah-ul-Haq, Misbah looks to swing that one over midwicket, an everything-behind-it slog from Misbah after coming down the track, misses the ball and is he stumped here? third umpire is called, and Misbah's backfoot is on the crease when McCullum takes off the bails, Is that the last we'll see of Misbah in Tests?. 361/5
178.3 to Mohammad Amir, oh my, three balls before lunch, Aamer swings the ball straight to Martin at deep midwicket, Aamer is distraught after that poor shot, Martin can't hide his glee after collecting that one, why oh why did he go for that shot?. 421/7
13.223732.77564000
56.3 to Salman Butt, what a start for New Zealand! Vettori's move to start with the part-timer has worked, an innocuous delivery outside off, Salman Butt gets too much bottom-hand on an attempted off-drive, ends up lobbing a simple catch back to the bowler. 129/1
62.1 to Imran Farhat, oh my goodness, Guptill gets his second wicket on the day, Farhat charges down the track and spoons the ball right back at Guptill, two Test wickets in 25 minutes after three-and-a-half years on the first-class circuit got him only one, he gets the wicket off a low full toss as well. 146/2
193.2 to Mohammad Asif, Asif has been given lbw this time, referral time, Asif has stretched well forward and is hit on the front pad, it pitching just outside off, hits him in front of off, going on to strike middle and leg, that's the end of Pakistan's innings, Guptill gets three. 455/10
