2.6 to HH Gibbs, well bowled, first blow for West Indies as Gibbs pushes forward and gets a thick edge through to Denesh Ramdin. Taylor deserved that after a decent start, but for Gibbs its a depressingly familiar dismissal as he reached for the ball outside off stump. 8/1
4.6 to JH Kallis, key strike for Taylor, Kallis drives on the up towards mid-off and Shivnarine Chanderpaul moves to his left to pouch a good, vital catch...Kallis looks down at the pitch, the ball may have stopped a little but he wasn't very far forward in his drive. 18/2
47.2 to SM Pollock, gone, trying to guide down to third man but Ramdin dives across and takes a good catch. Another South Africa batsman goes before he can do major damange. 240/6
49.2 to J Botha, picks out long-on with precision as he goes for big drive down the ground but doesn't connect out of the middle. A comfortable catch on the boundary and Botha's stay was brief. 254/7
1015515.50334230
44.2 to MV Boucher, the bowler gets his revenge, again it wasn't quite a yorker but Boucher swings across the line and misses...the ball crashing into middle stump. Important wicket for West Indies because Boucher can cause serious damage late on. 221/5
3033011.0065100
1005515.50287001
22.6 to AB de Villiers, out of nowhere Sammy makes the breakthrough, de Villiers is caught on the crease, playing back when he should have been forward and the ball was heading halfway up middle stump. The end of an entertaining innings.. 109/3
1004214.20334000
37.4 to GC Smith, he looks to push the ball into the off side, gets the thinnest of edges and a jubilant Ramdin hurls the ball to the heavens ... even the taciturn Samuels can't hide his delight as he team-mates mob him. 181/4

4.3 to BA Parchment, gone, the first breakthrough, as a delivery bounces alarmingly from a good length and takes the shoulder of the bat looping towards de Villiers at point. It's a simple catch, but that ball came out of nowhere...a few have kept a little low today, but none have climbed like that. 13/1
30.6 to D Ramdin, and another! The collapse continues as Ramdin tries to cut a ball that was too full and too close to him, dragging a bottom edge into his stumps. More reward for Pollock and West Indies' sad procession continues. 97/6
1003513.50393020
40.5 to R Rampaul, gone! banged in and brings the pull from Rampaul, the top edge goes high behind the batsman and Smith makes excellent ground from slip to take a good catch over his shoulder heading towards third man. 138/8
812823.50365000
17.4 to S Chattergoon, the breakthrough for South Africa! This one is closer to Chattergoon and bounces a little outside off stump, Chattergoon goes for the cut but is cramped for room and gets a top edge through to Boucher. 59/2
47.3 to S Chanderpaul, gone! Chanderpaul's plainly odd - and poor - innings comes to end with a tame flick to midwicket. He never seemed to know what he was doing, and neither did anyone else. 168/9
8.203644.32355021
20.6 to MN Samuels, beauty! Well bowled from Morkel, a rising delivery just outside off stump which Samuels is forced to play at but doesn't get behind the line. A regulation edge goes through to Boucher and South Africa well on top. 64/3
22.1 to RS Morton, gone! Another soft wicket by West Indies, an awful shot from Morton who tries to pull a ball that isn't short enough and spoons a simple catch to mid-off. That's reminiscent of a few of Morton's dismissals on this tour. 69/4
38.5 to DJG Sammy, gone! Morkel has his moment at the of an expensive over, Sammy pokes at a shorter ball outside off stump and sends another simple catch through to Boucher. 134/7
48.2 to JE Taylor, gone, and that's the match for South Africa although we knew the outcome of this game a long while along. Taylor swings the ball high to mid-on where Steyn back-peddles for the catch...a career-best for Morne Morkel, a fine effort as he continues his recovery from injury. 169/10
